This is my 5th baby's nub. As you can see, it's a girl one. And she's definitely a she :)

I'd say it is likely going by the nub your having a girl. But there are sometimes factors that come into it such as exact gestation when you had the scan, and sometimes other things are not captured such as any shadowing on the nub which can mean boy, but from what I see it is a girl nub :)

My third little boy looked like a girl by the nub but I since found out that both sexes start off looking girly but then the boy nub will rise and change as time progresses....so thats why gestation is important. It gets more reliable the further on.

In my opinion if is a nub, post this picture on a forum called in-gender, those will tell you for sure. It is longer than the norm that you see, but it could have just been imaged like this on the picture. In my experience of seeing cords on scan they look like a bobbly wiggly line. Not straight and forked, that looks exactly like a nub just a tad on the long side.

The midwife said the placenta is facing the other way maybe that's why ?
