Hi I am just wondering how long it took people to get pregnant after suffering from an ectopic and your stories it took 3 years for me to get pregnant I don't want to wait another 3 or

Hi BrownX,
Sorry you're going through this..
Was your tube saved?

For me 1st pregnancy (ectopic) after about 4mnths, lost tube. Then preg with dc1 after about 6mnths trying.

Struggled to get pregnant again, tried for 2yrs, then 2nd ectopic.

Told IVF was only hope...that failed.
Fell pregnant naturally the following month with dc2.

Hiya yes tube was removed, so after 6 months you fell pregnant? X

BrownXeyes Tue 07-Feb-17 18:15:01

And also you must be very strong going through 2 ectopic Avery brave I struggled with one! X

Yes it didn't take too long.
It was trying for dc2 that was a problem.
When that turned out to be ectopic after 2yrs I thought that was it.

I'm not brave at all! I struggled a lot.
Try not to give up hope.

If you still have both tubes, there's no reason why it won't happen for you.

I had one tube removed due to an ectopic, conceived my DC 18 months later

BrownXeyes Tue 07-Feb-17 18:52:47

Thanks everyone! I'm just worried it will take another 3 years! 😕 X

If you are concerned go to your doctor, I did and they referred me to my local hospital who performed a laparoscopy to check my remaining tube which was very reassuring. Good luck x

They have said my remaining tube is fine they were happy with it. Suppose it's just the waiting when it's all you want! Thanks x

Can anyone tell me how long it took to get their period after ectopic surgery? It's been over 5 weeks and I've got nothing....

Notsure1234 Sun 12-Feb-17 21:17:10

I didn't lose a tube and was treated with methotrexate so slightly different experience but I took nearly 2 years to conceive in the first place.

I had to wait 3 months after treatment before I could start trying again then I conceived after 6 months of trying.

Now pregnant with dc2 after one 'accident'

Hope you gwt a sticky bfp soon flowers

Congrats on dc2!! And thank you for sharing your experience I'm now waiting for a period aswell! Nightmare!

cantmakeme Sun 12-Feb-17 21:46:29

First month of trying. Missing right tube.
Good luck!

cantmakeme Sun 12-Feb-17 21:47:38

Oh, I'm sure my periods came back straight away. Could you be pregnant now op?

BrownXeyes Sun 12-Feb-17 22:14:35

Wow congrats! Well it's been over 5 weeks since surgery and still had no period. I did think I was pregnant 2 weeks after surgery but it was just my hormone levels reducing. I have toyed with the idea that I could be...but I don't think I am haven't had any signs and thought I would see how long it's taken people to get periods thought I might just be impatient!

I had a ectopic in November and had my period around 5 weeks later...... am now pregnant again! (Nervous as hell) second reassurance scan tomorrow! The first was showing 2 weeks behind although with everything my body has been through ovulating late etc wouldn't be too strange! Currently being sick every couple of hours and can't keep my eyes open so I'm hopeful! X

Aww congratulations! Keeping everything crossed for you that everything goes as it should...I'm waiting on my
Period nearly 6 weeks after op! And keep thinking I'm getting all the symptoms...but not sure wether they are just period symptoms coming! Bet you have never been so thankful for morning sickness! smile

I had an ectopic on July 21st 2016 resulting in my left tube removed Been trying ever since, and nothing! Just feeling like this is never going to happen, the surgeon who did my op told me that my other tube was prefectly fine, but nearly a year on and nothing! 😢

BrownXeyes Mon 05-Jun-17 14:01:15

Aww that's horrible! We are trying again and I am so impatient!! It will happen for you I have everything crossed for you. I have been told it can take 12 months for your body to get back to normal! Xx

I had a tube removed in august 2013 due to ruptured ectopic. Just got a BFP last week!!!
I have had 2 x rounds of ICSI since then but unfortunately MC both. This is my first "natural conception " since 2013.
I have a friend who had a tube removed and when they started trying again it only took them 5 months for their BFP X
