Suggestions?

I'm new here and also 39 weeks, i feel like this pregnancy is slowly killing me: bad back, feet ache, headache, acid reflux, struggling to eat and the worst thing ever... i still have morning sickness. None of this helps when i'm trying to keep up with a 3 year old and trying to keep on top of the house, i could leave most of it, but i keep telling myself that it might bring contractions on. Running on nearly empty here as sleep is getting impossible, just wondering if there is anything i could try, not willing to try castor oil as i read so many bad things. I always walk so that isn't working either. Bedroom stuff as been done... a few times but i have no energy, not a big fan of spicy or pineapple.
Anyone have any suggestions that they heard of or that may of worked for them? Feeling desperate!!

Raspberry leaf tea makes the birth easier, rather than bring the labour on.

Apparently the hormone in semen works however you ingest it, ifygwim Grin

Hi, I was desperate to go into labour naturally as I wanted a vba2c. Tried everything then someone suggested acupuncture and it worked for me. While I was there having it done I could feel my womb contracting and afterwards had mild period pains. The lady I went to suggested a follow up session in a few days if nothing had happened but I couldn't go so she told me about pressure points to massage and things. I went into labour naturally 5 days later, something my body has NEVER done before. Maybe something to consider. X

Sorry 39 weeks here and I just dont think there is much you can do.
I wish there was a sleeping tablet to take now and wake me up when in labour because these are the longest weeks of my life!

Birth ball!
However, my DD arrived at 39 weeks after my waters broke without labour starting and I wish she'd stayed in that bit longer. Everything I've read suggests that 40-41 weekers feed better as they're that bit more mature. Less chance of special educational needs too.

Beg your midwife for a sweep based on your debilitating sickness. I had horrific haemorrhoids and they had no issue giving me a sweep at 39+something. Went from the hospital to a pedicure (meant to bring on labour 😕) then a walk and then cleaned the kitchen floor and boom! Baby arrived!

I'm really sorry to say this but NOTHING works. It's all up to Mother Nature.
Both my DC were two weeks late, I tried everything. You will get a lot of people telling you what 'worked for them' but it's up to your baby, they all come out in the end when they're good and ready.

In the meantime just try and take it easy and have patience x

I'm 39 weeks with DC4 so I totally get it. It's the insomnia that's really getting to me. Am awake since 4.30am and about to bring the oldest two to swimming class Sad

There is nothing you can do I'm afraid. My first was 2 weeks late and I literally tried everything but it's just a tortuous waiting game! Just give yourself a break, be kind to yourself. I've planned little (non-essential) jobs for each day to try to keep busy and make the time go quicker!

Luckily the hospital has decided to give me a sweep on Wednesday, but i just wanted to see if i could bring it on myself. It's the morning sickness thats bringing me down more then anything aswell as struggling to put socks on haha.
My first born was an idle little monkey, i had to be induced which i really hated and then he had to be forced out with a forcep.
Thank you though ladies, i bought a ball today so might give that a try, can always do exerices with it afterwards.

Got a question.
My last period was 27th December 2016.
I found out I was pregnant on 25th Jan 17.
I had a scan on 1/2/17 but the baby is only measuring about 4weeks instead of 5.
Does this mean I didn't conceive on 27th Dec.
Plus I only had intercourse on 1st, 3rd, 6 or 7th Jan and then 10th, 11th and 12th Jan.
So now I'm confused on when I conceived. I thought u only fertile Upto day 14 too.
Please help me.
