What are you doing with yourself? 40+1, two sweeps down, lost plug, 2-3 cm dilated but nothing happening. Mother thinks I shouldn't be driving but I live rurally and have hyperactive toddler ds so can't be confined to the house, it's harder work!

40+3, midwife tried a sweep on Tuesday but it didn't work. I've had a pedicure, im doing looooong dog walks in a bid to get things moving and today I'm going to Asda - thrilling!! Just fed up of waiting and I'm so uncomfortable, let's hope our babies arrive soon!

Fingers crossed daisy I'm popping to town shortly so that I can strap ds into his pushchair and walk about.

People go into labour, go to hospital and are sent home only 2-3 cm dilated, I'm taking this as a good sign?!

2-3 is fab I'd say! With my first I was in agony at that point. 39+1 and never been this pregnant before! I've had lots of promising signs but nothings happening. Even my braxtons have been 3-4mins lasting 40 seconds for days. I'd like to think I was 2-3 without realising it!

I've had long walks, hoovered, shampooed carpets and rugs, done lots of bending down such as unloading dishwasher etc. Complete sympathy with the toddler - mine turns two on due date 😣 I try to keep him busy then send him for trips out in his toy car with dh or to grandparents

That's what I keep thinking Belly!! Surely to God something will happen soon?! Not had any signs though, not even Brixton hicks.

My trip to town didn't go to plan, child fell asleep in the car. He's a bad napper so I tend not to wake him. Drove to town, furore home again, didn't leave the car!

Mil has just collected him for the afternoon so I get time to do stuff nap

I've never been this pregnant either, ds was elcs at 38+6.

I had a sweep yesterday and BHCX for about three weeks. So. Fed. Up.

I'm currently unwell (have Ulcerative Colitis and flaring) and cannot take my normal medication or start any new medication. I'm being induced this week, but due to ridiculously high numbers I can't be seen until Thursday. Two super exciteable toddlers. Please please please baby, come soon!

I'm still.waiting. Have walked a lit today and now in pain and discomfort. Most likely as a result of the walking but keep thinking maybe something is starting. My feet are huge. Bump has really dropped.

I also feel a bit sick. A sign?!

39+5 here. Just pootling along as usual really. Looking after toddler, walking dogs / seeing to horses if I can't get anyone to do them for me. No intentions to stop driving.

My midwife isn't planning to give me a sweep until next Monday when I'll be 41 weeks!Sad oh well, not sure they really work anyway?

Buck I think sweeps are one of those voodoo things. How do we know if they work?? I know that certain midwives/doctors are considered better at doing them than others.

My feet have swollen up for the first time yesterday and today. Not loving it!

I'm 37 weeks today. Goodness I can't see myself making it, I'm soooo huge! I am so stretched , are all you girlies feeling fed up at this point? Any tips on how to make the time go in? I finished work this week ! When I'm not working & keeping busy I find my anxiety starts, I've started worrying about baby . This strange feeling of Down's syndrome & the possibility that the ultrasound may have missed it..... is this me because no crazy ?! I've got myself in such a state & started researching which is driving me nuts!

I'm 39+2 now and have been on a proper cleaning spree trying to get this baby out. Cleaning skirting boards and the carpet on all fours, but nothing is happening, not even braxton hicks anymore!!

Meggy2017 I'm just the same, worrying about everything that can go wrong and if I don't keep myself busy I find myself worrying that his movements are reduced or something.

Hoping it won't be too much longer but starting to think I'm going to go the whole way Sad

Grumpus21 Did you try the exercise that opens your pelvis ? They say it can help induce labour - worth a try? It's a very low squat

Watch This video of a lady twerking until her water breaks!!! It gave me a laugh if anything.

We need to keep our humour !

Maybe I'll give that a try later!!! I've been in all sorts of angles cleaning but he doesn't seem to want to budge, just gives me an elbow or kick in the ribs as punishment!

Got a birthing ball that I've been using for a couple of weeks as I read it helps your hips (mine have been aching for a while now). from what I've read it doesn't actually help to induce labour but it does give everything a stretch which can't hurt in the long run!!

Am 40+4. Tried sweep at 40+1 but didn't work. Another will be tried at this weeks appointment.

Am eating lots of pineapple and spicy food. Been walking lots to try and get things moving. Tried the labour dance too.

babies head feel like its "tucked in" now. Hoping its a good sign.

Have induction booked in for a weeks time. Hoping that it doesn't come to that.

Thx for posting video moggy, made me laugh!

Fed up of ball bouncing and running up stairs. Thought my waters went this morning but it was just my bladder giving up hope too 😶🙊

Big shopping trip with power walking this morning if I can. Sweep Wednesday at 4pm (stupid time, should I try rearrange it earlier?)

41+1 here. Had a sweep. Nada. Both my other 2 were born at 42 weeks so I don't know why I thought this one would be any different!

I'm 40 weeks today booked in for induction for Wednesday due to being old!! Had show on Saturday think it was anyway like a large bit of snot( sorry tmi) . Was getting really bad contractions last week but all disappeared . Having a Bombay bad boy pot nipple for lunch then trying nipple stimulation again.
So so fed up and huge now and all my mat clothes are falling apart

Gah so glad there are more of you out there- misery loves company! 39+3 and had my show 4 days ago along with cramps but then nothing. Woke at 4am with cramping this morning... but again nothing!! Went for a fairly long walk yesterday (can barely walk atm anyway as pelvis gave up at about 6 1/2 months) and have tried squats& stairs a lot today. Just frustrating keep getting twinges that turn out to be nothing, it is making me MAJORLY impatient... first was 2 weeks over and ended in failed induction/ c section so this is all totally new to me! Hopefully we can all keep each other company until we get there!

Sex seemed to work last time but not really feeling it!
