for eating ONE mini Time Out bar!!

Why is it that everyone feels a need to comment on what you are eating in pregnancy? I am 16 weeks and an unhelpful colleague has just said "so I suppose your diets out of the window then?!"

I wanted to answer:

"Yes, now I'm pregnant I'm going to eat and eat until I am as fat as a house and then you can feel better about your own non pregnacy related weight problem"

Buy a load of cream cakes on Friday (pretend its your birthday) and tell her she can't have one as you thought she was on a diet, (or should be) he he.

Enjoy and just ignor the comments.

A bloke at work today made a comment
'Who ate all the pies?'
My retort was, 'I am pregnant, what is your excuse?'
He huffed and puffed and everyone else in the office roared.

FWIW, I ate a 100g bag of Cadbury's mini eggs in 10 minutes flat on Sunday. (regretted it later - heartburn!)

this is the same woman who told me that I would undoubtedly get piles and bad skin - she is a barrel of laughs as you can imagine.

I used to squirt, skirty custard, but by-passing the bowl and spoon. Quick fix treat for me!

I just had KFCs (4 piece meal)... 3 times consecutively last week. This is soooooo unlike me. I went up for second helpings on one occasion and the bloke said 'you must be hungry'. I replied that I was pregnant and craving KFC, and his eyes lit up and said 'oooh, you must have more then' and proceeded to put one more piece of chicken on my tray.

Not an answer to your question, but just to say I'm AM a big fat pig!!

I haven't told anyone at work (16wks)
I expect they just think I'm getting fat with no excuse at all, but not one person has mentioned it.

I have a bet running with DH that I can keep it up till at least 20wks...

ooh lovely, love KFC.

the annoying thing is that everyone feels like they have a right to pass comment if you are eating anything less healthy than a carrrot stick.

I AM BLOODY PREGNANT AND I CAN DO WHAT I WANT, DAMMIT!

god forbid if you should happen to admit that you are partial to peanuts, or brie, or anything banned. you might as well be forcefeeding your unborn child crack cocaine

when pg with ds2 we became valued customers of domino's pizza

i also loved mcdonalds, burger king and kfc! i knew he was a boy, as only a boy would want that much junk food! (veg and healty stuff made me want to puke)

in a magazine i was given by work when going on mat leave, their was an article in their about a study done in switzerland, which said mummy's that ate lots of chocolate during pregnancy had happier smilier babies at 6 months!

not that you need an excuse, but if the experts say eat chocolate, then eat chocolate!!!

Saw that report too. With MS couldn't eat anything sweet at all til about 16 weeks. My mum told me that my baby would be a miserable sod then! I'm making up for it now, especially now it's cadbury's creme egg season
