Ah! I'm a little panicky!
Just had my letter through for my 12 week scan.
I had an early scan and I was 8 weeks by my LMP but baby measured at 6 weeks.
The scan isn't until 15 weeks by my early scan and 17 weeks by my LMP!!
This is so late :(
Also, due to two previous mmc, I don't think I can hold out that that long to check everything's ok! It's another 5 weeks away!

Ring up contact number on letter and check with them.

I would call them and change the date.

No way! I would beg them to bring it forward and failing that, get a private scan.

You need to ring them and tell them you want the nuchal test at the scan. This can't be done after 14 weeks so they will have to fit you in.

I wouldnt get of the phone until they gave me an earlier slot, they do the 12 week scan because its the best time to check nuchal fold. After 14 week (i think) they say they cant do the test, which is one of the main reasons for the 12 week scan so thats really silly. I would get a private scan f they dont give you an earlier scan, i had a gender one at 18 weeks and even though it was further on and i knew my son was okay, it was so reassuring to see him as i couldnt wait until 20 weeks and i hadnt felt him move yet so it was just as much for reassurance as it was for finding out if he was a boy or girl. Yes it costs money but believe me the stress and worry is bad for the baby and its best for everyone just to put your mind at rest x

I think it's between 11.3 and 13.6 weeks for the nuchal scan, so this is way too late.

You need to call and change it.

Good luck!

OP didn't even mention if she consented for screening. If she didn't then NICE guidelines are for a scan by 16 weeks.

I have opted to have screening done which in the NHS area I am in has to be done before 14 weeks otherwise isn't very accurate and only done by bloods.
Update, called the hospital and he kept trying to put me off saying that I wouldn't be far gone enough, he just wasn't listening. Eventually got mad and told him I want the first available appointment and that's that. It's now February 3rd which makes me around 12 weeks! Although I have to go to a different hospital!
