I still barely have a bump?!

Hi everyone,

To give some context, I'm 19, this is my first baby (DD) and I'm 24 weeks pregnant, but there's still barely any sign of a bump?! It literally looks like I've put in a bit of chub on my tummy but no-one would look at me and think I was at all pregnant!!! I know lots of people my age/younger than me that are/were pregnant and looked it from 12 weeks! Every time I've had a scan, they've all said she's really big for her age and that I could possibly be a week or two further on than expected, but there's barely any physical sign of her?!

I wasn't overweight before I was pregnant, I was a size 10/12, but I don't know if it's because I'm above average height for a woman (5"8)? I also feel her move quite a bit and my DP has been able to feel and see my tummy move when she's kicking?? My mum says that it's really weird because I really barely look pregnant, definitely not what most people look like at 24 weeks though??

Any thoughts??Smile

I was the same with DC 2 - was swimming in a bikini until nearly 30 weeks and no one one have known I was pregnant (in fact - I didn't find out until I was 24 weeks Shock, I thought I was 12 weeks!). But then practically overnight the bump exploded and I was massive!

Completely normal, everyone is different. I never "popped" (my God I hate that phrase), I slowly got slightly chubbier around my middle and only got a bump noticeable to others at about 32-34 weeks, he was born at 37 weeks. I'm size 10-12 5ft 7.5, my mother is 5ft 6 and never developed a bump with me.

I and 5"8 and size 10-12

With my first kid at age 21 I didn't show until after 30 weeks and was always a small bump
Second kid at 24 I showed about 25 weeks
I'm now 33 and I showed at 12 weeks!

And there are those who don't even know they are pregnant, until they give birth. In my experience you'll be one of those back in jeans the day after you give birth.
