So I done a test this morning (only two weeks after conception) and a very very very faint line came down. Clear blue test. Is there always a faint line? Thanks ladies

Hi,

How faint it the second line, i.e is it noticeable to a friend or your OH. And when is your period due? Basically some pregnancy tests can detect the pregnancy 6 days before your period is due, I did one on the 5th day and got a second line with morning wee a few days ago, tried with a cheaper brand on also got a second line but both were faint. I would wait another 2 days and try again using morning wee. Did you read the test after 5 mins as per instructions if so than you are pregnant. I would say wait another two days and test again....I am in the same boat but taking the cautious approach, I will wait a week. Cant afford to waste any more test strips!

For me, the line always starts out faint, then gets stronger over the next few weeks.

When you say your two weeks post conception, is that two weeks after ovulation or last period?

Do you know how many days past ovulation you are?

Snowflakes1122 · 09/01/2017 11:08

You're not your!

MerryMarigold · 09/01/2017 11:33

Came on here to ask a similar question. I am scared that I am pg as dh has had snip a while ago but not sure he's cleared his tubes properly (not had enough sex) and we should really have used condoms but didn't. So feeling a bit worried and wondering how early I could test and put it out of my mind. Looks like around 15th Jan.

Housequeen101 · 09/01/2017 11:57

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! Two weeks since ovulation. I'm desperate for a baby so is Popsicle I'm seeing thins, will get dh to check when he gets home from work, thanks for advice x

Why doesn't auto correct work when you want it to! Possible* things *

So 14 dpo. Given implantation happens 8-12 days after this, a light faint bfp is normal in my experience.

Here's my bfp 13 days after ovulation. It was so faint you could barely see it.

Oh and clearblue aren't all that sensitive, so to get the faint line on that is a good sign! Smile

Housequeen101 · 09/01/2017 13:56

I've done my calculation wrong! It's only been 8 days since ovulation 😭 Wishful thinking. Thanks for advice though

i can clearly see a second line! I had to ask at least 2 people for a second opinion when I got the faint line with DD1 - fingers crossed for you !!

hula16 · 09/01/2017 15:42

I can see it too! Congratulations!
I'd probably try and wait a couple of days before using a digital test as they need higher levels of HCG to give a positive ( this is rich coming from me, I have zero self control) x

Housequeen101 · 09/01/2017 15:49

Hula16 me to no self control, now I'm panicking that it's an evap line (bloody Google) I have no more tests left at home and will try my hardest not to buy one for a few days ahhhh

NarcsBegone · 09/01/2017 15:50

Definitely a second line! I had much fainter lines (multiple tests) than this, a line is a line Smile

RogueStar01 · 09/01/2017 15:50

digital tests usually come in packs of 2 :)

RogueStar01 · 09/01/2017 15:51

why restrain yourself? Beat it to boots and buy a nice clear digital set - at least a 2 or 3 pack. I realised a good lesson with DD1 - don't go cheap on the pregnancy tests (I'd gotten the cheapest ones due to so many negative ones)

SquedgieBeckenheim · 09/01/2017 15:52

Yup, I see a line. Try to hold off testing again for a few days I have no such self control to get a stronger line.
Congratulations!

Snowflakes1122 · 09/01/2017 16:51

Yes. Definitely see it! I got my bfp with my DC no 2 at 7 dpo and no 3 at dpo. Was a test addict Blush

Lines were like that with mine. Exciting Smile

Housequeen101 · 09/01/2017 19:16

Fingers crossed its not a evap line, thank you all xx

Herbie84 · 09/01/2017 20:36

Everything crossed for you that its a real life BFP rather than an evap x

Get a first response it will tell you before a clear blue 👍 5 pregnancies and clear blue is always late to the party whereas the pink dye always shows up sooner.

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/01/2017 20:47

It looks like a good positive to me. Step away from google (and remind yourself of that throughout pregnancy!) congratulations

SarahOoo · 09/01/2017 22:17

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just wait for a missed period before testing again. Trust me it's bloody confusing and frustrating otherwise.
