Hi all, I'm 36 weeks with my 3rd baby and I am so terribly uncomfortable. Baby is healthy (although apparently big) so I know I shouldn't complain but let's be honest these last weeks suck!
Any one want to share them with me? We can support one another through this. Smile

I will be 36 weeks Tuesday so you are a littke ahead of me.

2nd baby with a 14 year age gap ha ha.

Hoping this one wont be to much bigger than my first as 6Ib 9oz hurt sooooo much before lol

I'm very uncomfortable and I think baby is laying transverse still.

Find out next week.

The joys of not being able to sleep on my side, back or front, means lots of tossing and turning.

Moaning and groaning, huffing and puffing.

Going down stairs for the loo a few times.

Hi Hayland, 6lb 9 would be lovely. My smallest was 7lbs 4 and second was 8lbs 9oz. The scans I have suggest this baba will be over 10lbs! I'm afraid...just hoping they are wrong!

I feel so huge. I can't get up or down without grunting and I feel I need someone to help me all the time.

Is your other child excited?

I'm also 36 weeks! I'll be 37 on Tuesday. Miserable as sin Sad I've had a horrible cold, I've pretty much got over it now but I've been left with a horrid cough. Between the coughing and the constant need to wee I'm sleeping very badly! My stomach muscles hurt from coughing so much.

Off to get an exercise ball and get my hair cut this afternoon, in an effort to cheer myself up. Then back to bed I think...

Hi birdlet, hope the hair dresser cheers you up. I got mine done yesterday too.
Is this your first?
Having cold / cough sucks as there's nothing really you can take to help!
We had a 6 week dose a while back. Was truly terrible. Xx

I'm 40+4 now and so fed up. Both other DC went 10 days over the due date so I'm not expecting this one to make an appearance just yet.

I've had so many false starts though. Constant back pain for over 4 weeks now and false contractions almost daily. Not looking forward to going in to give birth either, I haven't seen a midwife since October, can't get the number on my notes to connect and been emailing hospital daily but not getting a response. Not making me feel hopeful about their care standards.

I just want to be able to sleep on my front and put my own socks on again!

Ittook yes this is our first. Can't imagine how miserable it must have been to have had a 6 week cold 🙁 I've had a couple of paracetamol so at least the muscle pain isn't quite as bad as it was earlier. Let's hope it goes soon!

Bonesy I can't WAIT to sleep on my front again 🙈

Hi 1 hour: My partner was over 10Ib when he was born sooooo we often joke this one better not be that size.

I've heard the hospitals get those growth charts wrong all the time though.

I too cant move without making noises like i belong in the cast of the Walking Dead.

My daughter seems very excited about taking selfies with new sibling. Do worry a little that all she sees at the moment is us buying clothes and decorating babies room and putting together new furniture for a child that isnt here yet.

Hi Birdlet
I seemed to have skipped the cold and went straight onto a very bad cough that makes me feel like i want to vomit/heave after every cough.

Hope the hairdresser cheers you up.

Hi BONES
Putting on tights without feeling pain would be nice..... oh and i miss my heels, hate being a short arse!

I have before now texted my midwife, not to get any response at all Shocking. In future i will just call the hospital itself.. If the numbers you have ard not connecting google the main desk or call your doctor.

I'm 36 weeks on Monday with my 2nd. Feeling huge! Although I had a scan the other week and they said he looked normal size. They seem to tell loads of people they will have 10lbers but not many people actually do.

The last week's really suck. And it never seems to feel like you are getting any nearer!

Hey girls, 35 weeks on Tuesday so a little behind all you, but still completely fed up!
SPD and fortnightly trips to the hospital for physiology and growth scans and I am done in! They reckon my little one as an estimated birth weigh of 6.6lbs so still quite small, but huge in comparison to my first - he was only 5.13lb!!

At least we are all nearly there, just another month or so to get through. Do we all know what we are having? Smile xx

Hi ladies, 38+2 here with DC3.

He was estimated to be 7lb 10 two weeks ago, my other children were both over 10lbs, induced because they were overdue.

I feel like I've reached my limit now and my anxiety is horrendous. Have a hospital appointment next Friday, hoping for a sweep and maybe an induction date.

Hi Ladies, bit behind you all, I'm 35 weeks expecting #2 team yellow!

1st was a nice 6lb13 born at 39w so I'm praying this one's not too much bigger and not later!

Super uncomfortable already :(

37+4 here... Hip pain at night, can't sleep, hot all the time... Hurry up kiddo!!!

Was delighted to hear from my sister in law that even after a very traumatic and prolonged labour which resulted in an emergency CS and huge scar and newborn baby needing her attention she felt far more comfortable and slept better than she did in the last few weeks of pregnancy!!!

Good luck everyone!!!

subtle-ly joining the end of this thread to whinge a bit more haha! today is my due date!

plenty of uncomfortable feelings but nothing that suggests labour is imminent, still no show or loss of plug or anything. had my 3rd sweep yesterday and there had been no change in my cervix from my first 10 days beforeso baby is clearly not interested in moving yet! im bored of being uncomfy and not sleeping now!

i just want to lay on my tummy again!!! plus bubbas most active time is anywhere between midnight adn 4am so im wake around then most nights!

oh and im sick to death of people telling me im walking like iv pooped myself!

39+5 here with DS2. Desperately hoping not to go overdue. Wide awake, convinced every twinge is 'it'!

Hey waving to all the new posters Jealous of those ahead of me lol! Grin

Tinyhuman I'm having my third and I never lost any plug before labour with the others. Labour was quite unexpected with my second. So you still might just go without loss of plug.

Londonroo I'm not comfortable no matter what I do. Lying down, standing, sitting. Also have sore hips and groin area Sad

I want to nest but it's so difficult to get anything done being this sore and big

I'm 36 weeks and fed up, my last babies were 6.12 and 8.4 I've been told this one will probably be bigger. Had my last over 7 years ago. Been told to sit on a birthing ball to get baby to turn but it hurts my back. I don't sleep well, restless legs, heartburn, sore legs

Report
ittookme1hrtothinkofthisname · 07/01/2017 13:54

Thecatsarecrazy you have found your people. I'm sure insomnia, heartburn, restless legs and aches and pains are pretty common here.

38+1. Just finished work and soooo ready to meet my baby. I have a dd who is 5 and we think this is another dd (2scans say girl but that happened to my cousin and she had a boy!) I'm feeling very heavy and uncomfortable now! Stealing myself for the annoying 'haven't you had that baby yet' comments!

thecatsarecrazy · 07/01/2017 14:16

A very grumpy 40+2 here, totally had enough of being pregnant. DS came at 40 exactly so I feel like I'm in unchartered territory now! I've got really bad PGP and can't walk, even with crutches, and in too much pain to drive. So I'm just stuck, with a mega case of cabin fever!

I'm also now getting constant "have you had the baby?", "any news", "are you in labour yet?" Messages and phone calls. My well intentioned MiL unfortunately bore the brunt of being the 5th in two hours to ask and I snapped at her this morning. Does she honestly think we're going to keep the birth a secret? It's not like they're close enough to come and help anyway! I've now turned Facebook, messenger and calls off to save myself from further grovelling apologies!

Astro it is so frustrating!!! I even posted a fb update yesterday evening saying yes it's my dd no the baby isn't here and still today iv had about 5 people ask!!

Thecatsarecrazy definitely found your people here I'm up most nights with insomnia and today especially have been counting the minutes till I can take more gaviscon 😂

I'm hoping that I'm gonna be out of this situation soon cos I'm getting some really bad pains tonight, sat on my ball with a tens machine and just had some paracetamol but the amount of pressure I'm getting is unreal it's really painful!

How is everyone getting on today? We're expecting our third boy. I'm 40+6 now and still not much happening. Haven't seen a midwife still but have been monitoring blood pressure and urine daily at home and I'm not really concerned about anything.

I'm going out today to pick my sister up to help with the other two when I go into labour. Really can't be bothered with leaving the house at all. Feels like all I'm doing at the moment is moaning at everybody. Ugh. Grump grump grump. Can't wait for the baby to arrive so I can sleep!

thecatsarecrazy I've found an actimel is working miracles on the heartburn, might be worth a try.
