Pregnancy

9 weeks and anxious :(

I'm 9 weeks pregnant today and am anxious that I may have had a missed miscarriage :( haven't had any morning sickness at all, was v tired at start of pregnancy but now not so much. My boobs have grown and are sore, and I'm constipated, but the lack of other symptoms is making me anxious. I had a little bit of spotting in week 7 but none since. Do you think this sounds like a MMC? So worried :(

I live abroad and the system is different here so can't get reassurance from midwife

If its any consolation i was the same. No sickness, No tiredness. Breast tenderness would come and go but nothing to moan about.I had a private scan at 7.5 week as i just didn't believe it was true .

Im currently 24 week and still have very few symptoms. I feel a bit more tired now and bloated but up to now (touch wood) feel good.

Apart from constipation but thats a whole other thread hahaha

Thank you sweetchilli, that is reassuring. It's so difficult to try to relax and wait for the 12 week scan!

I think it's normal to have no symptoms. I've been googling too since I have none myself. Some are just lucky. Relax and try to enjoy your pregnancy. Not too long now until you see your precious baby. Congratulations. X

Hi Polly I'm not sure it's a MMC but I had no sickness what so ever with my first. I sympathize with you as I am preg with my second and also abroad. If you are really worried can you turn up at the hospital and ask for a scan just to put your mind at ease or arrange a private one? I had a trans vag scan at 9 weeks as I was so ill. They couldn't see much but there was a heartbeat in the little bean. Def put my mind at rest and prob helped me feel better over all. The country you are in, are you in their healthcare system or in the U.K. System?

I am in the private health care system here. I could ask for a scan but it really isn't the norm here until 12 weeks and when I call I am getting told to wait. It's at times like this that I wish I lived in the UK :(

I know it's hard but try to relax. I had barely any symptoms at all when I was pregnant and my DD is now 15 months old. Maybe you're just one of the lucky ones who doesn't get sick while pregnant x

Thank you so much for the reassuring responses. Do you think the spotting in week 7 is anything to worry about? It was on two separate days and was literally a few spots of blood in my knickers.

The blood was dark brown if that makes any difference

I know it's like being in the unknown! probably best to book an independent private scan if your still worried, they are around €100 if in europe. I have my first set of blood results but still not been over them with the dr until either tomorrow if they are open (epiphany here) or next week. I got them in an email. There a few small discrepancies that are prob out nothing but I'm having a stress about!

Can not fault my gyn/Ob but it does make you realize how good it is in the U.K. And the support you get while pregnant.

good luck with everything x

Any chance you could see your Doc? Or get s private scan?

Other than that, I didn't have major symptoms with either of my boys and tbh the sickness etc is "suppose to ease" by 12 weeks (as per the books) so you might just be used to the other symptoms and not notice them anymore. I'm sure that's around the time I used to panic as well, your far enough away from a scan but far enough into the first trimester that you wouldn't want to go back!

Brown spotting is completely normal. Sounds like you are having a lovely pregnancy but the worry is making it hard for you. Not long to wait now till a 12 week scan. You need to have more faith in your body. Trust it. X

I had so few symptoms And a negative test that I didn't question - A positive result came back at 10 weeks - I've had no symptoms at all and now at 23 weeks with a very wriggly baby. I was so anxious all the time, you need to relax - look at it as no signs of miscarriage either!!

I spotted on week six and week eight, it was pink, I had sore boobs and constipation and that was it. The placenta usually takes over around the 9-10 week mark and in general this is when you'd start to feel better (although not the case with everyone). Anyway, the wait until your first scan is horrible, I ended up paying for a private reassurance scan due to lack of symptoms. All was fine in the end and am now Mum to a mischievous 19 month old. Hope all goes well for you.
