Wonky balance in early pregnancy

Am 6wks and my balance has been funny when I go down stairs. It's been like this since just before I got my bfp. I start to walk down and have to really concentrate so I don't miss a step or tumble: it just feels really weird-like I've lost my sense of proportion as to how big the steps are. I know pregnancy can mess with your balance but it seems very early for that. Any ideas? Am fine walking around on the flat!

I had this throughout my first pregnancy...it didn't occur to me to mention to the midwife but in hindsight I should have! Am 10 weeks now with second and have noticed being off-balance when I get up a billion times every night to wee and being quite wobbly. I have my check in appointment this week..will mention it to midwife and report back! I think last time I just assumed it was a pregnancy thing - would be good to hear from others if it is common

Do please let me know. I'm not seeing my midwife for another fortnight. Haven't had it before. I know I have low BP which gets worse in pregnancy so could maybe be related to that but it seems very early...

Hi Rice I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner...I explained to mw about balance being off - she didn't seem overly concerned - took my bp which was fine and ran a bunch of blood tests (which I think she would have done anyway) which didn't yield anything. She told me if it gets worse or I feel faint (which I don't) to call her back. I'd definitely suggest getting your BP tested as it was the first thing she did. I think worth checking in with the GP or midwife anyway - always best to get checked out!
