On new years eve i had to be checked in l&d for my waters going and less movements, as soon as i got in the hospital he started kicking to the point i could see and feel him. They found the heartbeat and said they dont really check for reduced movement until 25 weeks and on wards and she said he could have his back to me or he could just be moving and me not feeling it but im still really worried. He's moved every day quite a lot for 2 and a half weeks, should i stop stressing?

Yes I would. Around the same weeks I had reduced movement and was panicking too but my midwife said they don't bother til 28 weeks.

Now I see why. I am 28 weeks and the movements are suddenly a lot stronger and easier to monitor. I thought the baby was going to jump out through my skin last night

Just jumping on this board but this is such a relief for me to read! I'm just about 23 weeks and have been getting so nervous about feeling then not feeling movement. But I guess if they don't worry until around 28 weeks then they know best!
Out of curiosity, what sort of movements are you feeling at 23 weeks? I definitely feel some clear kicks in the evening, but other than that just hiccupy feelings still, and some churning (I guess baby is doing somersaults!)

I nearly always feel proper kicks that i can see and feel if i put my hand on my stomach, i didnt feel butterflys and flutters at all because i have an anterior placenta so it was kicks straight away, my sister in law is pregnant though and she didnt feel hardly anything until she was 26 weeks, i guess every pregnancy is different x

My midwife also said 28 weeks to monitor movement as beforehand they still have lots of room. She also added that I may not have a recognisable pattern until as late as 30 weeks.
I've an anterior placenta too.

So nice to find other ladies in the same position. I think this has been the scariest part of pregnancy so far! I'm 24 weeks and use a count kicker though really I think I should have waited till 28 weeks? I find so much information online is conflicting over when there should be a pattern to baby's movements?
