Hi

I'm 18weeks with my 3rd baby. My first 2 dc are early teens (so I'm having to learn everything again) and I'm really struggling to figure out what I'm going to need!
I've not bought anything yet - my sister will be passing down a crib and that's all I have sorted so far. Nan is a knitter so will be sorted for cardies, hats and blankets.
My 2 dc are October and march born so this is my first summer baby.

I feel ridiculous asking this as a 35 year old mother of 2 but do I still need things like vests, A coat, All-in-ones, Cosy toes and sleeping bags?

Also I'm currently looking at prams and buggies, not going to get a huge multi way travel system type one, just need an easy foldable umbrella type one (don't drive so reliant on public transport) so any recommendations?
I'm itching to start a spreadsheet list Grin

Come join us on the June due dates thread or our Facebook group?! The fb group is private so noone else can see that you're in it or anything you post. I'm 18+3 :). It's my first so I don't have much of a clue what to get but I posted a list the other day that ive compiled from a bit of research that you're welcome to browse and comment on! I don't think we will need the all in ones etc (but you never know with our weather!). Vests are definately on the list. Im planning on using grobags and on their website it tells you what tog to get for different temperatures and what to dress baby in with them which is great for clueless like me. We're all in different positions in the group and its great to get advice and opinions from each other :).

My first was a summer baby during a hot summer, so in newborn things we didn't use hats, cardis etc and often it was too warm for even a sleepsuit let alone a blanket so she wore a vest only some days/nights. We did use gro bags once it had cooled down a bit in summer tog 0-6 months. So you're best sticking to a small number of cardis, sleepsuits and rompers and you can buy more afterwards when you know what sort of a summer it's shaping up to be!

chocolate I'll have to wait til I'm on a pc as can't copy and paste on my phone on here for some reason doesn't work (and too much to type out again!) but will do when I get a chance!

tart (hehe maybe asgard instead?!) You have to be invited to the group on facebook but if you post in the June due dates thread then vegan can add you, she's who added me anyway! ( It's in the antenatal section if you're not sure).

Well this summer was so hot, mine was just in a short served vest a lot! Or when in a sleepsuit no vest underneath.

I was thinking along these lines, my son is 5 and was born in february and I'm pregnant with number 2 due in July so bit of mixed weather, will definitely still do vests but didn't know about the other stuff Confused

We didn't even have a pram suit until autumn. Hats for return from hospital only, and then started wearing a hat from maybe late September. Baby in carrier or pram in just one layer i.e. Vest or max two i.e. Vest and sleepsuit. But then, this summer was really hot!
