Thoughts on heartburn = head of hair

Hi ladies,

What are you're thoughts on having heartburn meaning baby will have a full head of hair?

I personally always thought it was a myth but now I'm wondering if there's truth in it!

I had severe heartburn with DD right from bfp and she had loads of hair. Not so bad with DS but again born with a full head of hair. This time round I have none what so ever! Is it possible I'm having a baldy? Grin

My sister in law had no heartburn with her DD and she was as bald as they come! Poor wee girl has only just got enough to cover her head and she'll be two next month! Sil has just had DS and he's got an amazing amount in comparison to what his sister has haha! She had heartburn with him though so now it's making me think Hmm

Sorry for the ramblings lol I know it makes no difference whether baby has hair or not but it's late at night and you all know how stupid things keep you awake Grin

Only anecdotal, but I had terrible heartburn and DD had had three haircuts by the time she turned one.

Absolute tosh.

DS is still almost bald at nearly 2.

Oh my god, it better be fucking true. I've got heartburn 247 so this baby better have a full head of lovely fluffy hair Xmas Hmm. First pregnancy so can't comment with experience.

I have 5 boys!

5 awful lots of heartburn** from before I even done pregnancy tests...

5 babies with massive heads of hair...
Heartburn gone as soon as each baby was born!

So I'm a big believer in it Smile

Not sure why there's so much highlighted in that post Hmm

Only awful and massive should be highlighted Confused

I had very little heartburn and my daughter had a lot of hair. By comparison two of my friends had babies at similar times and both had very bad heartburn. Their babies weren't bald but nowhere near as much hair as mine. I was totally bald as a baby so was really expecting a bald baby!!

Horrific heartburn and a ds with a huge amount of hair! No heartburn from the moment he was born whereas I was swigging gaviscon all through the pregnancy!

True for me, I had terrible heartburn and gave birth to hairy little baby monkeys

I got through 6 litres of gaviscon in my last pregnancy and DS had very little hair at birth....

Minimal heartburn only and a lovely hairy DD Grin

Horrendous heartburn both times and neither baby had lots of hair.

Do you honestly believe that the two are connected? The amount of hair on a foetus floating in a sac of fluid having an effect on how much a stomach is pushed upwards by a massive bump? Reeealllyyyy?

If there's any truth to this I'll be giving birth to a baby gorilla come February!

Please note this is not a serious thread! I honestly couldn't give a hairy monkey (excuse the pun) if dc has hair or not.

As I said it's late at night, I can't blooming sleep so thought I'd see what other people's opinions are.

I'm actually loving the fact that I'm getting away with no heartburn this time round! Especially as I felt I should've had shares in rennies Grin

Guess I'll find out soon enough (29+4 at the mo) I have a growth scan booked for 33weeks so will find out then Wink

Load of rubbish for us. I had the worst heartburn ever, i used to sleep on 4 pillows or i would choke on acid in the night. DD was bald til she was about a year old.

Horrid heartburn. Very hairy baby. All over. Back, arms and legs and ears. Dark fluffy peachy fuzz. Lovely 😍

I had bad heartburn with my DD, she's 18 months now and hair is nearly shoulder length.

Started getting it about 30 weeks this time.. I'm thinking that might have been when he started growing hair!?

My SIL had bad heart burn and bald baby though.
