Gender reveal ideas?

Hi all, I'm just over 9 weeks pregnant with my second child and can't help but think about the gender and how to reveal it! Not to family or friends but just something different for me and my partner!
It's our 8 year anniversary (not marriage) on the 24th of Feb and he's booked us to stay in our fave hotel for the night now what I was thinking is for that morning to go and get a private gender scan that morning as a surprise... asking the tech to note it down on paper and seal it!! and maybe see if the hotel could do something special for us! Maybe after dinner bring us a cocktail and pour it at the dinner table revealing the gender colour? I didn't get this all with my first pregnancy as I found out when I was 6 months gone so please excuse my excitement but any other ideas or fun ways I could do this? Thanks xx

Ask the hotel to bring you a coffee with the anatomically accurate genitalia of the appropriate sex crafted in the crema.

Ask for them to provide a staff member dressed as a killer clown to jump out at you when you least expect it (midway through a massage at the spa / exiting a lift / on your midnight toilet trip) brandishing a knife and screaming "IT'S A BOY!" or "IT'S A GIRL!"

Ask for them to arrange for evening entertainment to be provided by one of either of the noughties pop sensations Blue or Pink.

In seriousness, congratulations. Could you / your partner pop into a florist and give them the note, and ask them to deliver an arrangement of pink or blue flowers / a bouquet with a pink or blue ribbon? Or reject the pre-birth gendered colour stuff altogether and make it green for a boy and yellow for a girl or something.

lol brilliant Grin I just want something different as we've had such a rubbish year it would be so nice to reveal such special news on a special day in a nice way I do like the flowers idea that's nice! I'm just trying to think outside the box I want it to be a suprise for us both! I may try and get a friend to decorate our room whilst we're at dinner so we come back to it! I don't know as I say it's been a crappy year could really do with something nice to cheer us both up!

I actually love the idea of a blue or pink playlist! I'm going to use that one Smile

I would have thought that a nice hotel would be happy to do a little something, even as simple as blueberries on your cheesecake or strawberries, or something like that? Or just write congratulations it's a boy/girl on a plate like they write happy birthday?

I'd let the hotel know in advance though, if I we're on a busy shift and this was thrown at me last minute I doubt they can do much.

An hour of interpretative silent dance, culminating in the unveiling of a large papier-mâché model of the correct genitalia, with accompanying fireworks.

It's a long shot, but you could do the gender reveal a few months later, like at the birth...Wink

Yeah I'm going to contact the hotel before I'm sure they will be happy To help they've been amazing any other times we've stayed there! Like the pudding idea Grin and I could wait but as I say after a pretty poor year I would love a nice surprise and something to look forward to plus I think I'm
Far too impatient to wait
