I'm 39 weeks today and last night we had sex for the first time in a month and I was getting a lot of tightenings before the sex but not regular and earlier yesterday I had been having cramps again, but that has been going on over a week where they start and stop so have been ignoring them when they do happen but they only ever happen in the afternoon or evening. But today I feel a bit more energetic than I have for months and Iv been lying here awake deciding weather to get up and do some washing or lay in bed longer where it's warm but my belly kept going tight but it does not hurt at all and it's happening every 7 minuets.
Is it just from having sex last night ?

It could be the start of something but by the sound of it, it's too soon to tell. I'm finding at the moment that when I start getting regular tightenings, they can disappear once I start moving around (I'm 38+6) which is how I can tell they're not going anywhere. It's such a frustrating stage!

As a general rule, if they are just tightenings without pain then it isn't labour. I used to get really frustrated when I was pregnant and asked how I would know labour had begun and got the answer "when you're in labour, you'll just know" but believe me you will know! I'm sure there are some exceptions but for vast majority of women, contractions come with tightening and pains and will be very clearly in waves. Good luck Flowers

In my experience (6th pregnancy) if it doesn't hurt or take ur breath away it's more than likely just annoying BH. I'm getting lots of them too.
