I was given some lovely alcohol free mulled wine yesterday. By Belvoir, can get it an Waitrose but sure other places will have it too. Think it's called mulled winter punch.

It says a lot about your drinking habits if you want to be able to pretend you're drinking wine.

What about soft drinks? Raspberry lemonade is lovely. I also like ginger ale. IKEA do the most amazing spiced apple drink.

Wow that's a bit patronising. It's nice not to feel left out over Christmas when everyone's drinking.

I've got some shloer but planning on finding some alcohol free prosecco so i can still have a Buck's Fizz Grin

Not patronising, just a back story. I have an 40 units a day alcoholic brother.

I don't very often drink alcohol as a result of seeing what it does to a person, so I enjoy the many thousands of soft drink options (that are all much tastier than the non alcoholic drinks pretending to be beer or wine)

fate I don't think it says anything about my drinking habits?! I don't want to 'pretend' anything, I like the taste of wine! Which is why I'm looking for something like wine but without the alcohol...

mnah ooh that sounds nice thanks, there's a wait one round the corner so I'll have a look.

mummyh I was thinking bucks fizz too, hoping someone can recommend a sparkling wine.

Asda do a red and white - it's called Fre. The red isn't too bad. Haven't tried the white yet.

I can't wait for a proper glass of red!

Marksies have a very nice mulled wine, available in red and white. Not as sickly sweet as Schloer so easy to drink more than one glass.
Currently on sale at £2.00.

Waitrose do a good dealcoholised wine. Best red I have come across - not too sweet.

Fizz is by far the best of the all though as fizzy grape juice is quite nice anyway whereas many of the dealcoholised ones are not to my taste at all.

Tesco apparently have the best dealcoholised fizz on the market.

I have tried them all I think and I fear water is always better.

I do like the sound of the mulled wine though. Might try that.

And none of this says anything about anyone's drinking habits.

I'm not a wine fan but I found a nice echo falls one in Morrisons it was £3 a bottle so I got the white and rose and they were both ok I preferred the white, I will be buying some with my shopping this week 😁 Ready to get into the festive mood with my family

Yes echo falls do a low alcohol its called Cafe collection or something it is really sweet though you wouldbe as well have a dash of what you usually drink and fill it up with fizzy water

I've tried the white Fre and Eisberg and found them very sweet. Tesco do a sparkling non-alcoholic Chenin blanc (although again very sweet), which might work for a Buck's Fizz. Currently I'm obsessed with the Tesco sparking coxs apple and elderflower drink - stick it in a flute and it's sort of like having a glass of bubbly Grin

I found Sainsbury's alcohol free red wine was ok, best I managed to find anyway.
Also if you like lager, becks blue is a good fake.

I'm on the look out for an alternative too. Not going to lie, last night at my work party I really fancied a prosecco but wouldn't risk it. Not sure it says anything about our 'drinking habits' though Hmm

The Belvoir mulled wine is lovely, but like most soft drinks it's v sweet.

The Sainsburys sparkling wine is meant to be lovely, as is the M and S alcohol free prosecco. Can't find it in store though.

I might pick up some alcohol free ciders for next week...

Sainburys non alcoholic prosseco! Soo good, my friend bought it for me because I couldn't drink. I was so surprised how much is tasted like prosseco and its only £2.50 Smile
