Hi this is my first time posting I have pcos and I think I might be pregnant. I don't have regular periods so can't really tell when I'm due. I have pregnancy symptoms so how can I figure out if I'm pregnant or not. Hopefully you lovely people can help.

I have it too. Lots of the symptoms of PCOS are also pregnancy symptoms so it's easy to confuse them

The only way to tell is to do a test and retest in a fortnight if it's negative

On every TTC thread you will find people convinced their symptoms might mean pregnancy and it often doesn't just that people only start paying attention to their bodies when they are trying to get pregnant

I missed the aching boobs, the back ache, the nausea, the mood swings, the ovulation pangs for most of my life until I tried to conceive - now I know I get that every bloody cycle although not timed neatly how regular cycles would be it's still there.

Don't drive yourself mad, just test

Pregnancy symptoms are not a reliable way of identifying pregnancy. I have PCOS and have few pregnancy symptoms. Just do tests. You can buy them cheaply on Amazon, just get a load of dip sticks

I have never had any of these symptoms before

Strangers on the internet cannot tell whether you are pregnant. Do a test, then you'll know.

I was just looking for advice as didn't know if I should do a test as didn't know if it would show up.

It will show up if it can, if it's too early which it may be as you don't know when your due then retest in a fortnight by which time it's conclusive

There's no reason if it could show it wouldn't show on a HPT test though due to PCOS. PCOS doesn't interfere with their accuracy - it's only the timing

If you get a positive - your pregnant
If you don't - you need to test again in a fortnight or wait a week and ask your dr for bloods

I could be 6 weeks or less. So how far along would it show up.

If it's 6 weeks from when you last had unprotected sex it's very very accurate

If it's 4 weeks it's still very accurate

Seriously, just test!
