I am looking for a little advice and maybe a success story.

A couple of months ago, I suffered a miscarriage at around 8 weeks. Then, a couple of weeks ago I found out I was pregnant again. I went to the hospital after having pain and a little bleeding (litrally only bled for a day very light) they did the standard beta tests but kept me in over night due to the pain. My HCG levels were 202, then they repeated 48 hours later and they were 201. They were concerned as they had not risen but had stayed pretty much the same. I then had a scan where they saw a sack but nothing else, the sack measured 4 weeks. A few days later the beta was done again and my levels had dropped very slightly to 198.

Obviously this was confusing and the Doctor said that he was sure that the pregnancy was not viable but I would be rescanned the following week to be sure and to rule out ectopic pregnancy. I had this scan and the sack had grown, measuring 5 weeks and I was beta tested again. The result this time was 189, so again, barely moving in nearly two weeks. The Doctor told me that it was a failing pregnancy and I can expect the sack to leave in the following days.

I am no longer in pain, nor bleeding any longer. Because of this, I am due to go into hospital for medical intervention.

I have started to feel more and more pregnancy characteristics over the past few days, similar to when I had my daughter, so I am now confused again and apprehensive about going back to have it removed if there could be a chance it could be viable. On the other hand, I don't want to leave things too late if there is no chance due to the potential dangers.

Am I wrong to be optimistic and has anyone got any advice about what my options are? has this happened to anyone?

Many thanks

Cassie xx

Iv never heard of anything like this I was told they couldn't see a sac until the hcg was around 1500???
Anyways I believe in letting nature take its course (unless of course an ectopic was confirmed then you would have too do something about it)

I had this with my pregnancy.

It drove me insane wither that dropped by a digit or would rise by a digit.

I was back and forth.. I was told that I was having a mc and that expect to bleed etc .. they didn't see a sacred on my screen.

Then after more blood tests and says and days I had another scan and there was 2 little heartbeats there. They are now nearly 5.

It's weird and I don't no what happend but even on my pregnancy tests I never got dark ones and the digital ones took ages to change from 1-2 to 2-3 weeks

Good luck I hope your little sack stays put and just taking its time like mine did

I wouldn't get your hopes up nor would I go for the medical intervention. As long as you are not in danger wait and see.
I have heard of a few miracles although in my experience it stumbles a bit then the worst happens. But follow your gut...

Thank you everyone! I called the hospital today they wanted me to go in tomorrow for the medical management. I explained my symptoms and after some debate they've agreed to scan me next Thursday. More waiting in limbo but at-least if there is anything there it gives it time to grow and show up i suppose. Thank's for all your help anyway.

@Flippyflapper that's really encouraging thank you so much I hope mines the same, I'll let you know how it goes =) x

I would personally take medical advice. If they honestly believe the pregnancy is possible to progress they would not have given this as an option. I know your heart must be breaking right now but I would hate for you to suffer complications if left too long. Is it possible that the hospital can see a natural option? Unfortunately pregnancy signs are the same as AF signs which can be the same as miscarriage signs. I really want to tell you to wait and see, but I fear with your levels so low that you need to trust the hospitals advice. It's so hard to get your heart and head to play game. flowers
