Hey I'm a little confused as to whether I'm pregnant or not, my last period was 26th of September to the 2nd of October which is normal for me, i started spotting about the 27th of October and I've never spotted before but it's stopped now and I've taken about 6 pregnancy tests and they all have two lines but the second line isn't as dark as the first, I went to the doctors yesterday but they did two tests and they could only get one line so they told me it was negative but they want me to go to the hospital on Monday for a blood test.... anyone help please x

Those all look very positive - the line doesn't have to be as dark as the control line

I'm just confused as to why the doctor did two yesterday and they only came up with one line :(

You know a pregnancy test isn't the same as an ovulation test where the lines need to be the same colour..... any line that shows up is a positive line. And as for the Drs test perhaps it's not as sensitive as yours

I've took pregnancy tests as well but the line is really faint like ridiculously faint you have to look so hard I've just realised the picture I put up was the ovulation tests I meant to put up the pregnancy tests ones

I used two Superdrug ones and two Asda ones all all had faint lines but you have to look well to see them

There is a very faint line on your more recent tests. Any line at all means the presence of pregnancy hormones. So hopefully you have an early viable pregnancy Smile

Yeah i think youre pregnant. Maybe the doctors tests arent as sensitive as the home tests youre using.

There's a definite progression between the first and the ones you did yesterday, so I think the doctors test was just done too early.

I think congrats are in order :) have you done another today to see if it's any darker?

Those little thin cardboardy strips as I expect the GP will have used are in my experience definitely less sensitive than the ones in a plastic casing. I'm impressed they've even tested you, doubly impressed they are sending you for a blood test. In my experience they leave you to work it out for yourself then come back once you've figured it out one way or the other!

I deffo see faint lines so I'd say you are pregnant and the Drs tests just arnt quite as sensitive as those ones which is why she said there was only one line
