Positive test?

I'm not due my period for 8 days but I'm sure I'm pregananct going by sex & ovulation. Did this test this morning - at first it seemed an obvious negative but the more I stare at it the more I see the faintest positive line, but I could be imagining it as no one else can see it.

What do you think? If pregnant I'd be less than 3 weeks.

Positive test?

Its far to early to test

I know but it's not unheard of for people to get a positive this early. When pregnant with DD I got a Positive really early, can't remember how early though.

There is the ghost of a line I think.
Do yourself a favour and wait a week then test. You can drive yourself to insanity squinting at lines that may or may not be in your mind.

Definitely a line!

I know I really should wait and I'll drive myself daft but not sure I can go a week.

Wait another week. I can not see any line sorry. Remember you have 9 months to wait if it is positive so what's another week!!

The thing is I'm on very strong painkillers so the sooner I know, the better so I can speak to GP about how to deal with it. Not a planned pregnancy (if it even is a pregnancy!) but our first 'slip up' in the 16 years we've been together..

Good point about there being 9 months afterwards to wait anyway though 😊

Why don't you try first response early result? They can test up to 6 days before your period so they might be better for you :) I totally understand when you say you can't wait, I know that feeling xx

I may just do that thank you 😊

I think I see a faint line Smile I always test really early too, as do plenty of people on the conception board, it is nuts and we should obviously just wait but plenty of us do it Smile

I don't trust Clearblue at all. I have had tests with similar lines to that and not been pregnant. Definitely wait a few days or get a pink dye test. If you checked after the timeframe (10 mins) then I would disregard results.

Defo a line there! Congratulations!!

Oh never heard that about clear blue, when I tested with DD 8 years ago I used a line test which was negative and then used clear blue digital immediately afterwards and it came up as positive.

I've got 5 cheap sensitive tests from eBay in the house but I'm guessing they'll not be up to much this early.

Actually the internet cheapies can be more sensitive than the shop ones. I know you shouldnt test again but if it was me id be peeing on a stick morning and night lol. Fwiw I can see a faint line on your test. Do one of your cheapies now...

haveacupoftea · 06/11/2016 14:35

The cheap ones are not sensitive. Take a FRER Smile

Alb1 · 06/11/2016 14:43

The cheap ones claim to be more sensitive but I didn't get a bfp on one till days after I did on a superdrug early one

Sewingbeatshousework · 06/11/2016 15:33

What's a FRER? First response? I actually took a cheapie one straight after the clear blue and there was no faint line at all. But I know when it's this early if you're going to get a + then it should be the 1st pee of the day.

What I'll probably end up doing is testing each morning. I'll maybe buy a first response tomorrow...

Thanks all 😁

Ok this evening real bad cramps and light pink spotting. If I'm not pregnant I'm pretty sure I was as period not due 8 days.

I tested this early and got a positive but it was very strong so I'm off to the doctors today. This is mine at 3 weeks and incredibly rare I think, don't get disheartened as I think I do see a line!

Positive test?

The spotting could be implantation. Test again tomorrow morning with a FRER or a clear blue early test as they can both detect pregnancy 6 days before your period is due.

Congrats whycanIneverthinkofausername! I tested this morning with clear blue digital and it says not pregnant. I'm going to try my very best to wait at least 2-3 days before testing again.
