Positive test?

I'm not due my period for 8 days but I'm sure I'm pregananct going by sex & ovulation. Did this test this morning - at first it seemed an obvious negative but the more I stare at it the more I see the faintest positive line, but I could be imagining it as no one else can see it.

What do you think? If pregnant I'd be less than 3 weeks.

Nb- I will take another test in a couple of days but I'm impatient ๐Ÿ˜

thecatsarecrazy Sun 06-Nov-16 11:31:05

Its far to early to test

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 11:34:09

I know but it's not unheard of for people to get a positive this early. When pregnant with DD I got a Positive really early, can't remember how early though.

There is the ghost of a line I think.
Do yourself a favour and wait a week then test. You can drive yourself to insanity squinting at lines that may or may not be in your mind.

Veggiesupremeextracheese Sun 06-Nov-16 11:37:49

Definitely a line!

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 11:38:52

I know I really should wait and I'll drive myself daft but not sure I can go a week.

MouseLove Sun 06-Nov-16 12:44:45

Wait another week. I can not see any line sorry. Remember you have 9 months to wait if it is positive so what's another week!!

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 12:53:23

The thing is I'm on very strong painkillers so the sooner I know, the better so I can speak to GP about how to deal with it. Not a planned pregnancy (if it even is a pregnancy!) but our first 'slip up' in the 16 years we've been together..

Good point about there being 9 months afterwards to wait anyway though ๐Ÿ˜Š

Why don't you try first response early result? They can test up to 6 days before your period so they might be better for you smile I totally understand when you say you can't wait, I know that feeling xx

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 12:59:06

I may just do that thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Alb1 Sun 06-Nov-16 13:09:57

I think I see a faint line smile I always test really early too, as do plenty of people on the conception board, it is nuts and we should obviously just wait but plenty of us do it smile

I don't trust Clearblue at all. I have had tests with similar lines to that and not been pregnant. Definitely wait a few days or get a pink dye test. If you checked after the timeframe (10 mins) then I would disregard results.

WiMoChi Sun 06-Nov-16 13:25:59

Defo a line there! Congratulations!!

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 13:34:15

Oh never heard that about clear blue, when I tested with DD 8 years ago I used a line test which was negative and then used clear blue digital immediately afterwards and it came up as positive.

I've got 5 cheap sensitive tests from eBay in the house but I'm guessing they'll not be up to much this early.

Desmondo2016 Sun 06-Nov-16 14:27:44

Actually the internet cheapies can be more sensitive than the shop ones. I know you shouldnt test again but if it was me id be peeing on a stick morning and night lol. Fwiw I can see a faint line on your test. Do one of your cheapies now...

haveacupoftea Sun 06-Nov-16 14:35:15

The cheap ones are not sensitive. Take a FRER smile

Alb1 Sun 06-Nov-16 14:43:51

The cheap ones claim to be more sensitive but I didn't get a bfp on one till days after I did on a superdrug early one

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 15:33:20

What's a FRER? First response? I actually took a cheapie one straight after the clear blue and there was no faint line at all. But I know when it's this early if you're going to get a + then it should be the 1st pee of the day.

What I'll probably end up doing is testing each morning. I'll maybe buy a first response tomorrow...

Thanks all ๐Ÿ˜

Desmondo2016 Sun 06-Nov-16 17:54:05

My ics were 10miu and i got a faint bfp the day before i got one on frer. Morrison's own are sensitive too.

Sewingbeatshousework Sun 06-Nov-16 19:17:45

Ok this evening real bad cramps and light pink spotting. If I'm not pregnant I'm pretty sure I was as period not due 8 days.

whycanineverthinkofausername Mon 07-Nov-16 07:05:10

I tested this early and got a positive but it was very strong so I'm off to the doctors today. This is mine at 3 weeks and incredibly rare I think, don't get disheartened as I think I do see a line!

Sixisthemagicnumber Mon 07-Nov-16 07:17:57

The spotting could be implantation. Test again tomorrow morning with a FRER or a clear blue early test as they can both detect pregnancy 6 days before your period is due.

Sewingbeatshousework Mon 07-Nov-16 07:32:09

Congrats whycanIneverthinkofausername! I tested this morning with clear blue digital and it says not pregnant. I'm going to try my very best to wait at least 2-3 days before testing again.

Sewingbeatshousework Sat 12-Nov-16 17:54:23

This mornings FRER - It's faint but there! Cbd still saying not pregnant...
