Hi I'm 35 and 20weeks pregnant with dc3 :).
Dd is 3.5 and ds is 17 months. He'll be 21 months when this one arrives.
I have my 20 week scan next week and we're hoping not to find out the sex this time.

Hi 😊 I'm 38, 14 weeks pregnant with my third, my other two are 14.5 and 2.5 😊 How are you doing so far Pink? I felt like it was going to go on forever at 6 weeks this time! Slurple, good luck for the scan - have you any feelings about what you have this time, or are you completely in the dark?

Violet - I have no idea. I'd hoped my symptoms might be more like one of my previous pregnancies to help me work it out but they've been varied.
Have you passed the sickness phase yet? I'm just through the other side and can finally eat dairy again (even the thought of it made me sick last month).
Ooh good luck cats! Not long left for you. Are your ds's excited?
Unicorn hopefully the large gap will work in your favour and your older two will be like extra pairs of hands (rather than a menace as my dd was when ds was born Grin )

Hi slurple 20 weeks! Wow you're half way through already! I have two girls with the age gap of 19 months so I know what that's like :) I don't know whether to find out the sex yet as I did with both my first 2. Is the 20 week scan the one where you have to drink lots?

violet another 38 year old! :) yes 6 weeks is going on and on as we're only telling close friends etc but of course I'm not drinking of course so I feel like there is lots of people paying attention to that though of course they aren't. No morning sickness so far so fx that continues! Are your other children excited?

cats hello there! Wow not far for you do go how are you feeling? My children are similar ages to yours at 8 and 10. I hope they'll adjust to the new family member! How are yours feeling about it? I imagine they want another brother?!

unicorn welcome :) another 20 weeker! Have you had the 20 week scan yet? It's great you have older children as they can help you lots!

rusk hi :) wow your first one how exciting! You are also near the end and sorry to hear you're still feeling sick. That must really suck :( i bet you're glad to give the birth and stop feeling so sick?

Hi, I'm 39 and 8 weeks with no.3. I have a 7 year old and 5 year old. This one was unplanned and I'm pretty terrified about my age as I'll be 40 before I give birth. I had my booking in appointment the other day though and the mw didn't seem too concerned.
It'll be nice to compare notes :)

Hi finova {{waves}} congrats and thanks for joining! It is pretty special to be having our last babies isn't it?!

Hola lazy {{salutes}} welcome and congrats to you too! You are a few weeks agreed of me so well done on passing the tricky 6 weeks stage. Have you had any sickness? Have you told everyone yet? Me and df are going to tell my children tonight and then tell family from there. I already have 2 children and this is my first for me and my fiancé. My biggest symptom right now is just being quiet tired all the time!

Today I bought lots of tasty juices etc to make virgin cocktails. I had a strawberry virgin mojitos the other night at a restaurant and it was so tasty! I also have some schloer (trusty) as a backup. Sigh.

Anyone been thinking about births yet?

Hi, I'm 35 and 8 weeks with dc3. I've got a 3.5 yr old and a 2 year old. So far just been sick and miserable! But, it is definitely special having the last baby (planned anyhow!). I don't think I'll find out the sex of this baby this time. We found out with our previous two, mostly because my DH really wanted to. So this time I think I'd like a surprise.

Hi all,

I'm 36 and 20 weeks pregnant with number 3. I have 2 girls already, 5yrs and 3yrs. And we've just found out this one is another girl!!! Poor hubby! I've been feeling pretty tired this time around. My youngest isn't a great sleeper, so I'm struggling a bit with that. Hopefully she'll get that sorted before this little one arrives!

I'm trying to enjoy this pregnancy as it will be my last. But it's really dragging on! I guess 3rd time round isn't as novel anymore.

Lovely to join this post :)

Hi all. I'm 35 and 19 weeks with a surprise number 3! I have an 11 year old girl and almost 7 year old boy, this one is a boy too. This pregnancy has been flying by, it's a bit scary. I've been OK with sickness etc but I'm really tired and my pelvic pain has started up again, I was on crutches last time.

I'm having a planned section this time after 2 natural deliveries as I have some hip joint problems and had surgery earlier this year so it could be tricky or cause problems. I'd love any advice about sections if anyone has any!

I have 2 boys and this little one is a girl. My oldest is so pleased.
I'd like a hospital birth in the home from home room. My biggest concern is getting there on time and where to drop the boys off.

Welcome sunday {{fistbump}} :) so sorry to hear about your sickness that must really suck. Appaz this should calm down by 12 weeks though I appreciate that is still a lot of time to be feeling rough.

grace hi there {{high five}} :) a house of girls for your husband then ha ha. That must be hard that your 3 year old is having sleeping issues, does why wake up for a cuddle or does she want something? Does she cry? I agree it is good we try and enjoy this pregnancy and 20 weeks seems so far away from my 6 weeks but I know it'll arrive soon enough!

mouth {{hug}} :) welcome to the thread. That's a whole lot of stuff to deal with at 28 weeks! What does that mean practically speaking? I'm guessing iron tablets and what else? How do you feel in yourself except the rib pain?

strubo I hear ya with regard to the join pain, I had spd really bad with my first pregnancy but not at all with my second but a section did cross my mind too, now the law has changed to where we can ask for one (I've got they right haven't I?)

finova your birthing idea sounds really good actually and a good middle ground. I think I'd like something like that too. Are your family members around to take the boys for you when it starts?

Hi I'm 39 and almost 11weeks with number 3. I have a 6 year old and 3 year old already and work full time. First trimester has been a real struggle....hoping symptoms ease soon. Feeling a bit nervous about upcoming screening tests due to my age but will just wait and see what happens.

Hi there barley {{friendly wave}} wow you made it to 11 weeks well done! Sorry to hear it's been a struggle. What symptoms have you had?

I think you are echoing what all of us are thinking that at the early stage, I am also nervous about it and thinking that if the results aren't promising I'll have that private harmony test. Anyone else planning to do this?

I've had a long day at work and I really was tempted to work from home this morning! But I thought no and went in. Had a busy day and glad to be home now. I've told a few people at work as we have desk beers in the office - the office has beers and other drinks for you to enjoy at your desk after a certain time - so I had to confess so my close little team as they were shocked to see me saying no thanks!

We still need to tell my children, my parents, my fiancées parents, and book it at the doctors. Must get on with that!

Currently I have only sore boobs and I'm feeling a bit tired but otherwise I'm all good!

How's everyone else doing today?

Feeling sick, exhausted and pathetic here. We haven't told anyone else yet. Waiting until after scans/tests before we do.
Is anyone else having harmony or other nipt before nhs tests? I've been looking into it. I think the nhs tests may come back with high risk because of my age and don't want to prolong the process by waiting for those results first. They are expensive though. We didn't have any testing with the other 2 but I'm super anxious this time.

Strubo - sympathy from me too for the pelvic pain. Fellow sufferer here and it's already sore after exercise. But if you've had recent surgery no doubt you're suffering more. Hope it doesn't get too bad.

Barley - glad to see another 39 year old. :)

Hi I'd like to join in, I'm 36 (almost 37) and 16 weeks with dc3. I have two boys already, 4 and 20 months. Not finding out the sex, think it's another boy though!
I'm still feeling sick and a bit fed up of it now. Also trying to enjoy what is hopefully my final pregnancy, but not succeeding! I suffer from back pain, ligament pain and horrible reflux so expecting that to seamlessly replace the sickness in the next few weeks.

I had the Serenity test for extra peace of mind at ten weeks and pleased that I did. I looked pretty pregnant from pretty much the moment I poas so was good to have the nifty results early on so we could tell our boys about the baby.

Am also going to have a planned section this time after one emcs and one failed attempt at vbac. At least I'll have a good chance of arranging childcare for the boys.

Hello to everyone!

Hi, I've been really sick this time, vomiting every day....it has been grim!! But it is starting to ease a bit so I'm hoping over the next few weeks I'll feel better. I'm considering nipt this time as I wonder if I'll have a high risk on combined test due to.my age. I feel bit nervous about it all this time round to be honest.
Hello to everyone!

Hey sj257 I have a big gap too, with 6 years between each kid, number 3 on the way. I've just turned 37 and found this pregnancy is a little different to my other ones, mainly due to the appointments with the (lovely, lovely) midwives and (more reserved) doctors who need to continually remind me that I am now officially old and loaded down with risk. Way to make a nauseous, washed-out old hag feel great about herself.

I'm just over halfway now and this time my sickness has trailed on and on, I have full and utter sympathy with the ladies in this thread that have struggled a long time, or all the way to the end, with it. What is this constant foul taste in my mouth and queasy feeling after every meal? And being hungry and yet revolted by food at the same time?

On the plus side I too am trying to enjoy my last pregnancy, and because I feel so, so much more tired than the other times, and the aforementioned ancient-ness, it's feet up and back to back episodes without a shred a guilt.
