I'm so confused right now.... am either 71/2 or 10 weeks pregnant (unsure of dates/implantation) had slight spotting last Wednesday but was gone within the day. Now had sex last night and have been bleeding since this am, has gradually got worse during the day... have attached picture of latest time (sorry if tmi) I just need advice... can't get through to ebu and am waiting for a call back from 111. Also must add no other signs or symptoms of miscarriage no cramping ect!! Please help me through this... this is my first pregnancy after trying for over 4 years and I can't bare to think the worst!!

I've had two miscarriages, both of these were missed miscarriages. I has a bit of brown spotting, hope someone else will be along soon with some advice, take it easy, good luck.

I'm really sorry but the only thing that will either confirm everything is OK or your worst fears is a scan. There is nothing you can do tonight so ring in the morning. Bleeding in early pregnancy is common. I've experienced both a mmc and bleeding early on in pregnancy (I'm now 26 weeks) so I completely understand your utter terror. Good luck for tomorrow. I hope it turns out to be an irritated cervix and nothing more xx

Call your early pregnancy unit. Nobody can tell you for sure, but red blood is usually considered more of a concern than brown. Try not to get worked up but do give them a call

Take a deep breath. Try (and no doubt fail) to get some rest and get in touch with the EPAU in the morning. I had this exact same thing at 13 weeks with my first- bright red heavy bleeding (like the first day of a heavy period). I went to a&e and they said that as I was not in any pain I should go home and they arranged a scan for the morning. Everything was fine. Baby was healthy. Bleeding during pregnancy is more common that you might think, although terrifying when it happens. I carried on bleeding for about a week then it went brown and tailed off. Try not to worry op.

Try not to panic yet, lots of women bleed during pregnancy. I had on and off red bleeding for the first 20 weeks in my first pregnancy. He is 7 now. There is hope.

Nanny, oh no - I'm so sorry to see and read this.

You do need to wait for a scan to see what is happening, but do keep talking now if it helps. I am here.

In both my pregnancies I had bright red bleeding between 6 and 10 weeks. The second one the bleeding was so heavy it was like someone turned on a tap. After scans in epau all was fine. Call them in the morning but for now get what rest you can.

I bled twice with my first and all was fine. Fingers crossed for you. Rest (lie down) if you can.

I bled at around 8 weeks due to a cyst bursting. Butter sweet as I was scared shitless but got to see my beautiful boy at such an early stage. I wasn't allowed a picture but I shall never forget.

He's 5 now :)

Agree with PPs. I know a number of people who bled and all was well but you must get checked. Go to hospital for a scan as soon as you can.

It wont be a ten week sack because that is bigger and different looking than this (had a miscarriage last saturday). I don't know if you will miscarry but try not to worry. A LOT of people bleed in pregnancy. It doesnt really tell you something till you have the scan. I hope it will be ok. Will you let us know?

I had the same as you on 2 occasions. Once last Thursday and again on Sunday night. Looked exactly like your pic. Got in such a panic. I know how you are feeling. We went to gp who referred us to early pregnancy unit and we had a scan. Thankfully everything is ok and we seen a strong heart beat. Try not to panic and relax as much as you can. Do you feel pregnant? Are you having any symptoms?

Keeping my fingers xd for you! Unfortunately only a scan can confirm if all is ok. Have faith though, i had heavy bleeding for 2 weeks when i was 9wks pregnant, cramps too, but scan revealed bleeding was outside of sack and they couldn't explain it. Baby's heartbeat was fine and ds is now 11.

Hi all thank you for all your kind words and we'll wishes. Spoke to the EPAU this morning and they have said there's nothing they will do for now... they won't scan me as there isn't huge amounts of blood (she described it as pouring down my leg) and because I don't have any pain!! Bleeding is still there and still pretty much the same, but hasn't got worse so guess that's a good sign. Don't really know what more I can do..... have an appointment with my nurse tomorrow for blood tests so am going to ask her opinion and advice! Fingers tightly crossed for now!!!

Just got back from the doctors and they think it is a miscarriage!! Won't send me for a scan though as no signs of ectopic. Just got to wait for the bleeding to get worse or stop and do a test again in 2 weeks!!! So gutted right now, have been trying for over 4 years and this is my first pregnancy! Obviously just not meant to be.....
