Is illness worse during pregnancy?

When you were pregnant / now you are pregnant, did you get more severe symptoms when it comes to everyday illnesses like stomach bugs, colds etc?

Discounting the fact you're more likely to catch something because immune tolerance is higher in pregnancy and discounting the fact that there is a limit on medication you can take to ease symptoms in pregnancy, did you actually feel worse or get something 10x worse than everyone else?

I have had some of the worst viruses in my life during pregnancy and I'm wondering if that's common?

I was immune to everything while pregnant with DD. It was amazing. I felt invincible! Not so much as a sniffle the whole 9 months, though morning sickness kicked my arse a fair bit.

Sorry, no help at all OP!

I'm currently dealing with the worst cold of my life at 36 weeks pregnant. My immune system is on the floor! I'm not sure if not being able to take meds for it is the cause of my suffering but I'm really looking forward to it easing!

I've had two colds since being pregnant and they have hit me really hard. I've felt very faint and dizzy with them which never normally happens. Not fun at all.

Cococrumble- I think the lack of meds doesn't help. Normally with a cold I'd be banging down lemsip and nurofen with a hot toddy at night

I had a cold while pregnant and had four days off work. Unheard of for me. I could hardly get out of bed.

I had one of the worst cough ever in my life at the beginning of my second trimester. It lasted 3 weeks and the symptoms seemed similar to whooping cough (choking and vomiting from coughing).
I wasn't allowed any medication so it was a nightmare.

Definitely worse when pregnant, I had a sick bug at 14 weeks, I actually fainted, I'd never fainted before.
