Hello mummies✨
I need abit of advice please x
I had a scan today I was meant to be 7 weeks 5 days pregnant but I'm only measuring 5 weeks😔 they said I have a healthy sac and a thick uterus lining.. Has anyone else been put back so far but everything's been okay? I'm having an emergency scan in 10 days to see if there's any progression, should I keep hoping everything will be okay or just accept that there's gunna be no progression?😔 I saw a little pulse but when i asked they avoided my question!!

Why should you be 7+5? I recently measured at about 3 weeks less than I expected but it turned out I must have ovulated much later than I thought. There's also a reasonable margin for error early on (although it might only be 5 days). Cross your fingers.

Going by the first day of my last period I should be 7+5 I know it can't be accurate but I was expecting something around then.. I haven't done the deed since the day of my missed period. Just worried x

Only you will know your dates and know whether or not it is feasible for you to be 5 weeks.

I had one miscarriage where the embryo didn't develop properly and they told me at an early scan I was measuring behind dates. I knew my dates pretty exactly. I didn't know exactly when I ovulated, but I pregnancy tested consistently and their date would have meant I had a BFP a couple of days after I conceived. I still had to go back two weeks later, and then two weeks later again before they finally admitted it wasn't viable.

I wish you all the best and hope your dates are just off, but think it's fair to give you a first hand experience.

I was measuring a week behind at my early scan, now 15 weeks and caught up.
They said it's very tricky to measure something so small

Same as drinkyourmilk, I measured behind at first scan (measuring 5+4 at what should have been 6+3) and he had caught up by the next one (actually measuring two days ahead at 10+3). I'm 31 weeks today and he's fine as far as I'm aware.
Good luck. Hope it goes well for you.

With my two ectopic pregnancies, it was obvious that there wasn't anything there by the time of the scan (at 5 weeks and 7 weeks).

Well if I go by when I ovulate(sometimes I can be a week late at ovulating) it adds up, like if everyone went by ovulation/implantation I should be 5 weeks pregnant and not 7, 7 is going by LMP.. But how is that when obviously there's a two week break in between your period and ovulation? This is my test from yesterday after being paranoid. Surely it should be lighter or getting lighter if anythings wrong? This is my darkest test out of them all x

Doctors always go by LMP so they're saying you ovulated 3 weeks ago if they're saying your 5 weeks pregnant.

Fantastic!

My due date is 1 June (I am 7 weeks today) and I can't see outline of baby yet. Still two blobs in the sac. I'm sure they will revise your due date over the next few scans.

Well done you!!

Really need help and opinions please without judgement. Im currently 10 weeks 4 days pregnant my due date is 8th may 2017. Me and my partner broke up and I slept with someone else in June think it was the end of June. Then me and my partner got back together 8th July went to a wedding 23rd July and had sex I took the morning after pill on the 24th but then we did it again on the 25th July and have done since then without protection what would be my conception date? Is there any possibility that it's the other persons and not my partners. I'm a nervous wreck and it can't be healthy for my baby. I really need an answer please.X

Dylansmum, if you are human you can relax. Sex in June is unlikely to result in a human baby the following May.

LMP dates can really mess with your brain. If you know when you ovulated always go with that! My cycle is about every 6 weeks because I'm a freak of nature so I was 2 weeks behind too! I'm now 37 weeks Grin

Right mummies, need some advice AGAIN! I had another scan on Thursday (check up) and they told me I have a haemorrhage by the side of the sac and that I may bleed, I have now been bleeding on and off since last night, getting heavier each time.. Could this be the haemorrhage or something more serious xx

I don't know. I'm not sure that any strangers on the Internet can know. Maybe you should ring the EPU and ask them for advice as they'll know what was seen on the scan.

oscarsmummyy · 16/10/2016 20:12

I've been trying to ring them since 9am this morning ;/ not had any answer and they told me to not go A&E and to always ring there before doing anything but had no answer! Was just seeing if anyone had gone through something similar..

Hi Oscarsmummy - sorry you have a new worry.

ConvincingLiar is right - while bleeding is very common in early pregnancy, every cause is unique.

I can give you one anecdote: when I was about 7 weeks with my DS I had a brief bright red bleed (proper bleed) one night. It quickly turned dark reddy/ brown. A scan quickly showed up a subchorionic haemorrhage which was fortunately not near my son and his sac.

However, I continued to heavy spot for the next 4 - 5 weeks which was very distressing even though scans said it was not threatening my pregnancy. It was just the haemorrhage reducing to nothing.

That is one reassuring story for you. But you must have a scan asap to see what is happening.

The very best of luck to you. Early pregnancy sucks.

What colour is the blood and are you passing clots?
Dylansmum you wont have ovulated until about the 10th-13th August so it's most likely your partner's baby.

oscarsmummyy · 16/10/2016 20:42

Thankyou, that's reassuring! Will be contacting midwife asap in the morning and hopefully she can help me get a scan x
The blood is like a pinky, red colour, light bleeding/spotting x
