Hi - is it possible to start exercising at 26 weeks??
So far, I've gained about a stone and I've recently been eating what I want but I want to stop that, get back to all the good food's and start exercising! Can I?
I'm not talking HIIT workouts, maybe long walk's, swimming, light weights etc?
Any experience or thoughts appreciated!
Thanks all x

I'm only 22 weeks with my first so no actual experience, but I can't see how it could hurt to do some long walks and swimming. Pregnancy yoga is good as well.

OP I'm hoping to do this too - currently on restricted activity because of an SCH, but hoping it's finally going to go in the next few weeks at which point I'll definitely be trying to walk and swim!

Starting exercising at 26 weeks it is not a problem as long as you follow a couple of rules:

  • Your sport session should not last more than 30min and have a break after 15min

  • Do not train more than 3 times a week but try to do it at least once

  • It is important to no push your body too much

-Avoid impact sport like running and contact sports and prefere gentle sport like: Swimming, Aqua gym, Yoga, Ballet, Tai shi, Golf, Walking...
