Did you ever get a strong line on your test?

Hello everyone. Long time lurker here. Posting to get some advice about faint lines on tests.

Today is CD37 for me so I am 8 days late. I "feel" pregnant - very sore boobs, dizzy, uncomfortable tummy. I got a very faint line (almost invisible) for the first time on Saturday, CD34.

This morning I have done two tests and this is the result. They are darker than the tests I did on the weekend, but surely by this point (20 days after ovulation) they should be darker? Or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Thank you for your advice.

Totally worrying unnecessarily! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I was about 7 weeks pregmant before I got a really dark one!

And I don't think those cheap tests ever get any darker than yours. Yours are what many would consider a dark line

I only ever got feint lines......and it was twins.

The 'pregnant' 'not pregnant' only worked after 8 weeks

I was the same worrying about it- but I had light lines at your stage. All was fine.

Thank you all for your reassurance! Hopefully this is good news for me then.

Are you certain you are 20dpo?

Hi Nikki2oI6 I am fairly certain I am 20dpo today - but no concrete evidence to say so. Do you think perhaps I am less days than this and that's why the tests are fainter?

What makes you think you are 20dpo? Did you use opks? If you ovulated later then maybe that's why they are fainter. A positive line shows there is hcg in your body which means you are pregnant! Smile

Hi Niks2026. I used OPKs the two months before and ovulated day 17 both times. This month I didn't get anything showing up on the OPK sticks so I gave up testing about day 20. Now you have said that... maybe I ovulated late! Good thinking Smile

My lines were faint and I thought I was further along but a scan showed I wasn't. But even then I though my baby must have stopped growing because this would all mean I got my first positive 7dpo.... and it turns out I did!! I'm now 25 weeks. It's sooooo easy to get dates mixed up by a week or so

Mine was a dark as you could get (sainsburys) BUT I also took a clearblue test in the same day which said 3-5 weeks pregnant so I was VERY pregnant my that stage! I'm guessing if you are earlier into pregnancy the level of hormone in the body hasn't developed? Congratulations!
