lifting anxiety in early pregnancy

I'm nearly six weeks pregnant having had a late loss at 20 weeks last year, and two earlier pregancies the previous two years before. I am being extremely careful in a number of ways, but my four year old daughter slipped and fell in the bathroom this morning and panic took over that she'd hurt herself, so I lifted her back up from a kneeling position. I am now panicking that lifting her will cause a miscarriage... am I being overly worried?? Ihave a scan next week at 7 weeks through an EPU due to my history. no problems so far, but so desperate for things to be ok this time as we've been through hell these last three years xx

You are being overly worried. Totally understandable though. Come and join us on the 'staying posifrickentive' thread. We are all women are pregnant after a loss and we are all struggling with our own anxieties. It helps to share.

Hi OP. I did some reading on lifting and from what I read it's fine. You're using your arm/leg/waist muscles which doesn't have much effect on the womb.

You're bound to be worried because of your past experiences. Hope the scan sets your mind at ease. x

Aw, thanks ladies, I just fretted the whole day! Have been feeling so incredibly rough today though, so hopefully all still fine!

I will come and join the thread, thanks! :) xx
