I have a phobia of needles to begin with but last week I was kept waiting for over 1hr over my appointment time for my anti d I got message today saying that the bloods that they took are faulty so need to be done again.
Also I fell and scrapped my knee I called my midwife to ask for closer appointment and the soonest she could fit me in was next week I think it may be infected.
What should I do? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Have you cleaned and put savlon on your knee? You don't really want antibiotics when pregnant and especially just for a scrape.

As for the bloods it's a real pain but unless you're prepared to forego the results of whatever the test is you'll need to go and have them re done.

sorry your blood test will need to be repeated. It wasn't necessarily the midwife's fault though as with the clinic running late. Regarding the scraped knee - that is not a midwifery problem. If you think it's infected see your gp or practice nurse.

If you really think it's infected then see your doctor. What makes you think it is infected?

Appointments running late just happens.. Some women require more time with the midwife... You imagine a woman breaking down on her midwife mid appointment, you aren't going to be in and out in 20mins.

Lots of reasons samples are rejected by the lab... Mis labelled (they are very anal about labelling in blood bank), sample clotted, lab split sample, inadequate sample etc etc.

Your scraped knee... Go to your practice nurse if you think it's infected. Your midwife won't be able to do anything about it

Your knee is nothing to do with the baby - you need a gp's appointment for that.
