Early pregnancy!

So I found out I'm 7-8 weeks pregnant (worked out from my last period) when I went to the doctor they just gave me vitamins and told me to wait for a letter from my midwife, I did have a early scan at around 6weeks as I have pcos and had slight discomfort in my right side (I've always had it but they wanted it double checked) everything was fine and heart beat was there! But I haven't even had the chance to ask the doctor about my symptoms (apparently they don't deal with pregnancy it just goes to the midwife) so can I please have some advice! Me and my partner have been together nearly 6 years and this is the first time we have conceived so naturally worried lol! So I have the normal symptoms of sore boobs, and tiredness but that's it! But I have like period pains, not bad just uncomfortable, and bad gas pains! And sorry for TMI but it feels like a brick is coming out when I go for a number two, it hurts so bad! I'm finding it hard to go but always need to go, also when I'm weeing it won't come out in full I kinda have to squeeze it out? I'm woundering if all this is normal? I'm very tiny, a size six so I look very bloated too, is it normal to be bloated this early on?.. Thank you in advance for any advice!

All sounds very normal. Most of my symptoms kicked in around week 7/8, so there's plenty of time for more!

I had a lot of trapped wind in the first trimester, constipation and the bloating on my petite frame made my clothes very tight. Plus sore boobs on and off and tiredness but nothing else. So it does all sound normal.

Congratulations!! I remember being really shocked the first time I was pregnant and I made an appt with the gp to tell her I'd done a test and I thought I was pregnant, expecting to have to pee in a bottle for an official test, only for her to say "you are pregnant then - home tests are just as effective as NHS ones. Call this number when you're 8 weeks and book yourself in for a scan and take folic acid. Thanks".

Your midwife is your friend now. He/she will take good care of you now.

Not sure how Pcos affects things, but yes, I definitely felt super bloated and gassy and constipation is a common side effect. Not glamorous, but your hair and names will look nice!

Thank you, did your pregnancys go well? I read somewhere the more symptoms you get the better so I'm abit worried as I haven't had sickness or anything, or was it just a myth?

That's what I was thinking lol! And I've always had ovary pain in my right side due to pcos, that's why I had a scan around 6 weeks

I barely felt a thing ( bigger boobs and needing to wee a lot were my early signs) I had 2 weeks of sickness and then not much else until 2nd trimester and that's with both pregnancies. Sickness stated weeks 9,10,11 ish.

Both my boys had easy stressfree pregnancies so I wouldn't worry too much about symptoms

I had a stressful pregnancy with a few complications but it had nothing to do with lack of symptoms. My friend had no symptoms in both pregnancies and really good pregnancies and births. Everyone is different. Hope all goes great for yours.
