Bleeding at 4w5days - what will they do?

Just after some quick advice, I'm 4 weeks 5 days, only found out earlier this week, this morning had brown discharge etc, but this afternoon some red blood, just a bit, it seem to have gone back to brownish now. No pain or anything. I called 111, waiting for someone to call back. Just wondered what I should expect / ask for... Should I go on for tests or will they not bother as so early?

Probably very little. Even with an internal scan they won't see much. It could be an implantation bleed.

Yeah, an guessing they won't do scan as no point yet. I just wondered if they'd test hormone levels and monitor them over coming days, or not, and if so is that at the hospital? Or if I should do pt at home...

Nothing. They will advise taking another test at home after a week. Sorry you are going through this x

Sorry that your going through this Flowers like pp said it could be implantation bleeding however, if not, unfortunately, the hospital Dr's etc won't do anything further

Thanks, just spoke to them, they'll book me for an early scan at the end of next week or early following week, if nothing else happens between now and then... Here's hoping it was nothing serous. Thanks for your comments.

I had implantation bleeding in my pregnancy and then more bleeding later on. It wasn't a problem. Hopefully it won't be for you either.

Thanks convincingliar, glad yours is all ok. Didn't have this with DS1, so freaked out s bit, but only a little bit of bleeding so hoping it'll all be ok. Long few days to wait for scan...

Sounds like an implantation bleed to me. Apparently a "bit of bruising" at the beginning of pregnancy is very common and this can cause spotting as it disperses.

An early scan should reassure you, hope it comes round quickly for you and you can start to relax Smile

Mine is now aged 2!

Fingers crossed for your early scan. It's likely to be an internal one.
