Hi I'm 40 +1 and had my 1st sweep 48 hours ago. I was 2cm dilated could be stretched to 3cm, waters bulging, lost alot of my plug (which has continued since) but had a slightly posterior cervix so the sweep was very painful. Today I had my second sweep, still 2cm but midwife said she could stretch me to whatever she wanted, lost a Bit more plug, water a bulging, she could feel babies head and my cervix is not anterior (yay!) Midwife gave a bishops score of 6. She has booked me for third sweep on 48 hours and said she can't guarantee but would say I won't need this.

I've had back ache since last sweep, has anyone else has similar experiences and if so how long before contractions started?

Thanks

My contractions started 9 hours after my second sweep. I didn't have any signs though, I was asleep and the contractions woke me up.
Good luck, hopefully little one will make an appearance soon!

Move around, walk, climb the stairs. Let gravity do the rest. Sounds like you are ripe!
