Guys - I just wanted to see if there was anyone else out there feeling blue about there pregnancy body?
I'm normally I've gained 3 stone with 9 weeks to go! Sad it's not like it's even all belly either it's all over, I've just joined a gym where I can swim on lunch breaks but i just feel disgusting and I know I should be all happy because of having a baby but honestly it's really getting me down abit, so much so I'm avoiding social situations and basically just feel like I'm hiding in my house waiting (and eating). Agh is anyone else blue about this?

I'm 19 weeks so not where you are yet. Id feel the same so understand how you feel. With my dd I avoided eating for 2 because I've had a history of eating issues and I did not want a relapse either whilst pregnant or as a new mum . With my dd I put on 2 stone. My biggest piece of advice would be to choose healthy options going forward. You can not diet or try to lose weight, that isn't healthy. In your last trimester you need an extra 250 calories each day. Equivalent to half a sandwich (shop bought). Break your meals up so you are eating 4/5 smaller meals a day to make sure you are never hungry. I have either wholemeal toast or weetabix and fruit for breakfast. 2 hours later I have half my sandwich. At lunch I have the rest of my sandwich, fruit, a packet of Crisps or yogurt. I eat a smaller portion of a normal dinner (acid reflux means eating too much makes me feel ill). Sometimes a small snack before bed. Usually a couple of chocolate biscuits. Enjoy swimming but do not over do it. It will be fine. Try not to be hard on yourself x

Hey :)
I'm 31 weeks.. I was weighed a couple of weeks ago and had gained 2 1/2 stone...
It's a no win situation because I keep telling myself STOP eating rubbish... But then I crave it.. Eat lots of fruit followed by anything I can find because it doesn't satisfy me lol.
I have a wedding to go to on Friday and feeling low because I look fat not pregnant!!
But chin up, I lost 4 1/2 stone on slimming world before I got pregnant... I'm sure I can do it again. And remember baby and waters will be part of that weight gain so will automatically loose it when baby comes!! Xx

I am 31 weeks as well, and feel exactly the same- I put on 5 stone with my other children and have put on over 3 stone already, and I have literally just expanded everywhere. I keep getting comments about my size, 'god your massive' 'is it twins' etc and have even been told I look disgusting and hideous :( This is going to be our last baby and I really want to enjoy it, but I just can't. All my maternity clothes have suddenly become tight and even my underwear, I literally just cry before I leave the house to go out with my older children and feel so down. I really would like a water birth so just purchased a tankini and have been swimming with the children and want to go in the evenings . I keep looking at my body and think 'gosh, 9 weeks left and this is the part where the baby and myself gain the most weight!'
But I keep reminding myself, I am having baby, it's all worth it and I can loose the weight after....then I see a nice cake and eat it- and then the cycle begins again! 9 weeks left, 9 weeks left...every week I have a little mantra to myself hahaha! When is your EDD mammacaz?
I'm also not finding this hot humid weather helpful at all, are you?

I was the same first time around. I was 3 stones 10lbs up by the end. But lots of that is fluid, I remember a stone coming off over the week after the birth. So it's not necessarily all fat (and I had lost it all after 10 months)
Try not to worry, it is strange when your body is not your own anymore but you will be back to normal soon

Agh it makes me feel better that u guys have been or are in the same boat! I too have got comments like 'god ur massive already' which makes me just want to hide away even more!
But eating little and often sounds like a good plan so thanks will try that.
I know what u mean tho, I try eating fruit etc and then it just doesn't hit the spot so I go back and eat some crap! Blush

I totally understand how you feel. I'm 33 weeks and have gained just over 3 stone and feel vile. I was always super active so not only am I struggling with looking like a total whale, I HATE how hard I find it even moving around. I feel incredibly low and am not sure how I am going to cope gaining further weight over the next 7 weeks Sad.

BUT once our babies have come we can focus on losing weight. Sure, not straight away, but by eating a little less and moving a little more things will start going in the right direction. Just try not to put too much pressure on yourself to be at X weight by Y date and just accept that because we have gained more than most it will probably take slightly longer to get back to our lower weights Smile. At the end of the day, we're so lucky to be pregnant (as challenging as it is!) and many would happily gain all this weight to be in this position Smile.

I'm not sure if it will be any comfort but I'd put on way more than the books/websites said I should by about 6 months and it really upset me so I didn't get on the scales again until last night. I found to my surprise that at 38 weeks I'm now back in the range of normal gain. I think I put more on at the start as I wasn't sick at all, now the baby is taking up loads of my stomach space I can't eat as much as I normally would so my portion sizes have decreased. So the last 9 weeks for you might also not mean huge further weight gain...

If you fancy crap food, eat it! Just eat a portion controlled amount. I have crisps every day. Biscuits most days too. One packet of Crisps is the same calories as a banana but the crisps satisfy my craving!
