Constant Braxton Hicks

Hi I'm 35 weeks and I've just started having constant braxton hicks, they don't hurt but they are getting uncomfortable and I'm finding it hard to sleep through them. Has anyone else experienced this, will they now just continue now until baby arrives? They're making me feel nervous, I'm not quite ready for baby to arrive!

I think if you can't sleep through them they aren't Braxton Hicks. Maybe get checked out just in case!

I had them from 34 weeks but they would always fizzle out when I went to bed then start up again the end of the end of the next day for hours and hours. That was with my second baby and he arrived in the 39th week after they were still going one morning lol. Are they regular? It could be you have an infection like thrush? I had this but no symptoms except the Brixton hicks in my 3rd pregnancy. They gave me a thrush tablet and without a few hours my braxtn hicks stopped X

I've had them pretty regular since 32 weeks. They were uncomfortable but in no way painful. Just started having some actual contractions now (41 weeks) and there definitely is a notable difference

I found with the BH if I changed what I was doing (eg if I was sat got up and walked about) that eased them off. Could be worth a try?

If they are constant and waking you up probably best to go and get checked over.

Thank you for the comments i decided to call mymidwife, she didnt seem overly concerned and just told me to look out for other things such as the show, loose bowel movements etc which are common in preterm labour, so thats put my mind at ease. She has advised that i just need to go in to my GP so they can check i haven't got a urine infection as apprently that can set off braxton hicks.

That's how my labour with DC2 started... lots of painless BH all day and then woke up in full-on labour in the early hours. Then gave birth a few hours later! Good luck and I hope you do get some more time before the arrival!
