An unexpected pregnancy symptom?

Hello,

Sharing in the hope that there might be others experiencing something similar?

I am 32+1 today and am experiencing an entirely unexpected bout of euphoria and love for my OH and life in general that its genuinely starting to freak me out slightly...

My pregnancy was unplanned and while my OH is (and has always been) undoubtedly the love of my life the unexpected turn of events rocked the boat for us in the beginning of the pregnancy. The first trimester and some of the second were difficult for us both to put it mildlyml I also had a very stressful job and quite honestly hated feeling fat and frumpy. Up until about wk 29 i was stressed, ratty and full of pregnancy woes (while, genuinely, still looking forward to having my baby).

However, i finished work early with annual leave at wk 30 and OH and i moved house last weekend. Since finishing work i have been feeling bouts of what i can only really describe as euphoria and complete and utter lovesickness for OH? It sounds completely bonkers and is entirely unexpected...especially given how rocky things were after i found out i was pregnant.

OH and i are having sex once if not twice a day and ive got that actual sick from love feeling that i havent had in years.

Not to take it away from OH but.... has anybody else had a bout of this in the third trimester?? Should i be concerned about impending labour? Pregnancy emotions are funny beasts!

Aw what a lovely post!!
Enjoy the feelings you have and embrace them! So many ladies can't bare their man to come near them during pregnancy ( I'm just starting to feel more affectionate since morning sickness passed!)
Hormones certainly do have a lot to answer to but thankfully you have the upside and that's fantastic.
I can also imagine leaving the stress of your job behind and having a lovely new home is adding to the excitement.
Congratulations and best of luck Smile

Makes sense to me! You've had a really stressful time, now much of that (house move and work etc) is behind you for a time and you are on the home stretch to the birth. Sounds like you really love your other half and it's easy for that to be a bit eclipsed by life events, especially if, as you mention, things were a bit rough for a while. It sounds as though things are finally slotting in to place for you after a period of uncertainty 😀 Enjoy! I'm 27 weeks pregnant and definitely feeling heightened emotions all over the shop. Must come with the territory!

I had this throughout my pregnancy with DS and even after the birth. Just v v happy. Pregnant again now and with a child already the emotions are more like a PMT roller coaster...

I suppose its a good thing to remember the crazy pregnancy hormones sometimes have an upside AS WELL as a downside!
