Help - worrying about spotting

Hey, I'm a new user and not sure whether I'm on the right subject here please forgive me.

I have had the implanon (2nd time) for about year. I never get a regular period and didn't the first time I had implanon. Instead I have a short light one every few months.

This month on 3rd August I started a painful period that lasted a week although very light and brown. I finished on the 10th Aug. Now on the 16th Aug I have started spotting, again with a lot of pain in my back. Confused

I am also very spotty with lumps in my armpits which I know can be put down to hormones but I never get this either.

I'm worried that this could be early stages of pregnancy as I've worried myself by reading a few threads on here where some ladies have got pg on implanon.

I'm worried as I'm 19 and due to start uni next month. Maybe I'm over thinking but any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated

Thank you Grin

Hey! I'm not too sure on the implanon side of things but I'm also 19 and worrying as well so thought a bit of support would be nice for you. The best thing you can do is go and test just to put your mind at rest. It might just be your body reacting to it. My sister was on it and she had irregular spotting the whole time she was on it. Do you have anyone you can talk to about it? Xxx

Hi thank you for replying :) yeah I think I will do that. I don't know how long to wait before taking a test. This is just really unusual and I'm not used to my body behaving like this!! Yeah I have friends and my mum who will be really supportive. Just wanted some advice before I said anything. Thank you, I hope you're feeling okay xxx

I'd test as soon as so that if it's nothing you can stop stressing about it lol, maybe talk to your friends so that you don't have to test on your own if you're worried:-) yep I'm all good just hoping I come on soon haha xxx
