Leeds festival/measles risk - would you go?

I've just read this www.theguardian.com/society/2016/aug/08/measles-warning-young-people-festivals-outbreaks

Probably being a big fat paranoid first time pregnancy weirdo but I've got a day ticket for the Sunday and now I'm worrying about going! Would you assume it was quite a low risk or just not go? I had a miscarriage last year and I'm just not sure I can take the chance. WWYD?

It's only a problem if you have no immunity to measles. If you've been vaccinated, why are you worried?

What LastAnni said.

I have had measles, and DD has had the MMR so it wouldn't put us off.

Thought people our age are all vaccinated (bar those with parents with ahem interesting anti vax views?).

I'm fairly sure I'm vaccinated not sure why I wouldn't be, thanks for reassuring me!

You could always ask your GP very nicely to check your immunity in a blood test - I did this last week as was worried I had come into contact with a child with measles. Came back that I'm immune, which is a relief as this current outbreak sounds like it will go on for a while! I think locally to me it has been young adults who are catching it more than little ones.

"Thought people our age"

What do you consider our age? Wink

Most people my age (57) had measles as a child. The MMR wasn't around then.
