Congrats!!! Grin
They just ask you lots of questions about your lifestyle and take your bloods! Have you been asked to take a urine sample? They usually test this for infections too!! You also get all your MW notes and bumf to read too!! The MW will also give you info on how to book your 12w scan or maybe able to do it there for you. The appointment usually lasts about 45 mins!! If it's with the doctor I imagine it will be a congratulations and a referral to the midwife.
If it's with the midwife then it will be lots of questions about your medical history, baselibe observations taken (weight, BP) urine dipped and bloods taken.

Good luck

If it is a GP appointment, you will be in and out in 5 minutes.

Possible BP check
Ask how you're feeling about the pregnancy/physically etc
Referral to midwife

First midwife appointment is detailed questions about health, family medical history, urine check, BP check, where you may wish to give birth.... Approx 30- 40 minutes

It is super exciting!! I can't wait for my 12w scan in August. Feels like forever away!! It'll make it all real as I haven't had any really strong symptoms!! X

I've had no morning sickness (touch wood) but I'm really struggling with certain foods like red meat and salad cream haha really random stuff!! I am trying really hard to drink 2L of water a day too but when you constantly need to pee it's hard haha! Can you feel your uterus swelling a little?! I have what feels like an orange down there at the moment and also my tummy is super bloated at the moment!!
I had a major hormonal melt down today too! It's my first one and I cried a few times Angry I think my husbands hoping that was a one trick pony!! X

Oh bless you....I'm certainly very hormonal! I nearly cried my eyes out in sainsburys the other day for hardly any reason at all!!!
I feel very bloated and been getting the cramping feels (I am told it's everything stretching). I'm 36 and my first baby so all new to me and so many questions haha!!
Our little ones will all make it worth while hey!!
