Hi folks!

We're after picking your collective brains if anyone has a few minutes.

We're putting together some new content on pregnancy and what goes on at every stage, and we'd love to hear your experiences - which month of the pregnancy you're in, how you're feeling physically and emotionally, any weird and wonderful pregnancy symptoms you have, as well as what you're enjoying about this time of pregnancy (and possibly, what you're not!). Whatever you like really!

We'd just like to be able to use Mumsnetters' experiences to build a sort of timeline of pregnancy for others to look at as they go on the same journey and be able to find advice and benefit from the experiences of those who have been there before.

If you're able to help, please do scribble down any thoughts here and let us know what month of your pregnancy you're in and what's going on with you right now.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm almost 29 weeks and currently suffering with heartburn which started at around 24 weeks. The burning in my throat and chest wakes me up at night; I've taken to swigging Gaviscon directly from the bottle and can't leave the house without it. Changing my diet has no effect- I get it whatever....pregnancy is definitely not the Mother Earth experience I had imagined!

I'm 7+3 weeks and bang on 6 weeks my morning sickness started, with it I also seem to have developed motion sickness, (I spent last Saturday puking in a plastic bag as we drove down the A9,not my most dignified moment!). I've been burping a lot too, which was making me feel nauseous all day but I found a tip on a forum on here to drink fizzy drinks, the last 2 days sparkling water has been my new best friend. Also tired, tired, tired, my patience at work for certain people is wearing thin!

I'm 26 weeks today, twin pregnancy. Current symptoms are a LOT of breathlessness, heartburn, tiring very easily, hip pain and upper back pain. Upper back pain seems to be stemming from one baby pushing their head into my diaphragm and hitting nerves, as a result I can't stand or sit in the same position for extended periods of time. I can't eat a lot as there's no space so I eat little and often but try not to eat too late.

The good side - my hair doesn't get greasy anymore! I can go 4/5 days without washing it and it's so healthy. My nails are getting really long and strong which I've never had before and my skin has been really clear and normal as opposed to dry. I can feel lots of movement which I felt properly around 21/22 weeks, some movements are huge and take me by surprise! My OH can feel them too which is amazing, I was honestly more excited for him than me! Getting the nursery ready is so exciting and so is buying all the tiny clothes and changing bags etc. Thinking up names and picturing who they're going to look like is fun too.

The countdown is the best part, 11 weeks till we see our tiny humans! We can't wait.

Week 22 for me, actually feeling good! Sickness has gone, the kicked in the lady bits feeling has gone, the baby is starting to move more regularly and I can feel him/her a lot more (first time mum and anterior placenta). I also now look pregnant, rather than just fat! It also helps that I have now started baby shopping (wanted to wait till after the 20 week scan) and I'm enjoying that!
Only downers are that I do get tired still, can't do as much as I could and I get breathless more easily (like walking up the stairs). I'm also starting to get heartburn, though it's not too bad yet.

38+5 here.

Hyperemesis up to 27w, heartburn started at 18w and it's a killer, SPD and sciatica at 21w, crutches from 24w, hospitalised due to internal bruising and exhaustion at 31w, and now I can't move position without sweating or causing myself pain.

I wish my 2nd pregnancy had been a cakewalk as promised by my GP as my first was tricky too, but it turns out 2nd time it's either shit or great.

I'm not having a third.

30+3 here - third trimester. First time Mum, at 31.

Over the bizarre emotional hurdle of week 16 - that was not pretty. Now just grumpy and fat Grin. Would advise anyone considering a baby to avoid being in the third trimester over the summer months.

Can't poo well, sleep is fractured and dependent on whether my bladder needs to evacuate early and I'm slowly realising I'm on the home run now Shock

FTM at 29+1!
Still have plenty of energy, but the warm days made a nap necessary!
Baby is very kicky, punchy, roly and lovely!
The hair on my body has stated growing really slowly. In the first trimester, j could easily have shaved my legs twice a day, but now I can leave them a couple of weeks before the stubble is too much!
Breathlessness is an issue even as a fit person, stairs especially tire me out.
I get a random racing heart which can be unnerving, but a quick lie down on my side and I feel better. Water helps too.
Staying hydrated in the heat is key to help blood pressure.
I don't have much appetite at all. It's supposed to have increased, but apart from waking up hungry (no change there!) I'm not feeling hungry.
I've had a few leg cramps in the night and the odd bout of heartburn, but nothing too awful.
Nails are lovely and strong, hair and skin good too.
Still enjoying the gym and weightlifting bough which I think has really helped with my energy levels.
Don't get me wrong, I am definitely looking forward to not being pregnant!

Oh and my patience which used to be almost infinite has a definite short fuse now.
Haven't felt hugely emotional at any point, but angry at dickheads, yes.
Although there definitely seems to be more of them now! Haha!
I'm 35 btw.

I'm 43 and pregnant with my second little girl- 34 weeks and still feeling good touch wood! After terrible tiredness and sickness in my first trimester, things have been great since about sixteen weeks much to my surprise and relief!

I am starting to feel HUGE all of a sudden though and struggling to do any normal tasks in a dignified manner.

25+5 here, huffing and puffing up the stairs and grunting a bit when I have to bend to pick something off the floor. Was fit before and so frustrated at the lack of energy. Some days are really good, others I'm wiped out after a bit of housework.

Teary and emotional! A bit of tailbone pain. I realise I've got off lightly compared to others!

I second what pp says about hair and nails Smile

Oh and I have anterior placenta, have just started to experience proper baby kicks.

Just coming up to 26w now and the sickness is only just starting to lift.

I never feel people are really that honest about pregnancy sickness. It's either people who get it for a few weeks and it passes at 12w, or people who are sadly unfortunate enough to get HG.

It's perfectly possible to feel sick and be sick for five bloody months without ever being bad enough to be off work or be hospitalised or even to lose weight (I've still put on a stone). So it's like those early weeks of sickness so many people have... but it goes on until nearly the 3rd trimester.

Sigh.

I dislike pregnancy immensely, can you tell? Grin

36+4 with DC2 who never seems to stop moving! Getting very tired now and I seem to be breathless most of the time although I think the tiredness is partly due to my age (I'm 44) and the fact that my 5 year old has broken up from school for the summer Grin

I'm currently 39+4. I've been fortunate that I've had a pretty easy pregnancy - only slight morning sickness in the first trimester, and pretty much nothing in the second.

Third trimester has been... less pleasant.

Got to 35 weeks with no stretch marks, then they started appearing. My bump now looks like a cross between a planet and dried riverbed.

I was diagnosed with PGP a few weeks back. Fortunately physio cut out the worst of the pain, but I'm currently still very uncomfortable. My pelvis, hips and lower back aches whenever I stand or walk, and it feels like everything is about fall out of my pelvis.

I'm also getting regular period style cramping, a GLORIOUS excess of vaginal discharge, I'm tired and it's too goddammed hot.

Also, my mucus plug came out today.

Looking forward to meeting my son though!

24 weeks tomorrow and wondering why no one forewarned me about the potential leaky boobs this early! But I am completely in love with being pregnant. After a miscarriage and then bleeding for almost the entire first trimester of this pregnancy, I feel like I finally getting the pregnancy I always dreamed of Smile

5 weeks (just tested last week) tingly boobs, tired, slight nausea. (which I know will kick in properly next weekSad) Lost proper appetite but mostly eating stodge to try and get rid if the queasiness (until I remember it's not a hangover!)
Want to test again to check that I'm still pg but scared to test in case I'm not! Stupid. So happy though. It doesn't feel real yet. Worried about ectopic at this stage, feels like a long wait until the risk of miscarriage reduces 10-12 wks. Thinking of going for a viability scan at our previous ivf clinic...but know it's probably just a waste if money!

Im 8+3 and it still doesnt feel real. Im having very light brown discharge spotting on and off, extremely exhausted from 2pm onwards even though im going to bed 1.5hrs earlier than normal. Have gone off all drinks apart from water and im hungry all the time for savoury snacks like cheese and crisps. Ive lost my sweet tooth and cant face chocolate. No sickness yet but intermittent low level nausea if i dont eat. Occasional ligament pain in my belly and a "full" feeling comes on in the evenings. Oh yeah and i cried uncontrollably for about half an hour for no real reason the other day. Also not particularly excited which i read is quite normal. At the moment its quite an abstract concept to me and i haven't seen any physical proof of a baby yet. Im hoping i will start to get more excited after my scan.
