Can someone help me with early scans please?

Hello,

I just wondered if anyone can give me a hand or any advice on the following scenario! Any thoughts or similar experiences (good and bad!) much appreciated. This is my 4th pregnancy.

I am still breastfeeding my one year old am and pm, and have not had a period since before he was conceived, so have nothing to date by. I also have an over active thyroid! Around the 15th June, we were going to a party & I wanted a Pimms or 4, and thought I'd do a test I had lying around from yonks ago. There was a faint line. I was seeing my GP for my thyroid anyway, so I told him about the test, and because I am on a low dose of carbimizole and also take propranolol, he got me booked in for the midwife and referred for an early scan - will also just add into this sorry tale that with my son I got a BFP at 3 weeks, 1 whole week before my period was due, big clear positive!

SO, I got booked in, and had a scan Monday 27th June. They saw a 5mm empty sac, said it was too small to see anything and dated me 5 weeks. Tests by this point had gone from the faint ones around 15th June to great big lines. The sonographer told me to come back in two weeks.

I went back today, 11th July, and there is now an 11mm sac, still with nothing in! So, they say I am or should be 7 weeks ish, but obviously I cannot confirm this because I haven't had any periods. They must think I am such a pain in the arse.

I've had no bleeding, mild cramping but as I have had 2 babies and 1 miscarriage in 2014 at 6 weeks, I'm well aware cramping is normal. Sore boobs, feel sicky & light headed. If I didn't have a great big empty sac I would feel fine about it all!

They have done some hcg bloods today and I am to return in 48 hours for repeats so they can see what's going on.

What do you think? Should I just let this one go? Has anything similar happened to anyone out there? I'm not sure how to feel about it all really, obviously this was an unplanned pregnancy but it is a wanted pregnancy, if that makes sense...

Any words of wisdom appreciated :-)

Argh, this must be maddening. There's no way to skip to the right answer so you just have to wait it out. I hope they can tell you definitively what's happening as soon as possible.

Thanks, Season. So annoying! I just want to know now, gone from being completely relaxed about the whole thing to full blown crazy lady!

Think all you can do is wait for the results now and see how they are looking, early scans are difficult as they are tiny measurements they are taking x
