Constant upset tummy, early pregnancy.

I am not sure how pregnant I am, but it's early. 6-8 weeks maybe. I've got the same exhaustion and nausea that I had last time bit also such a sore tummy, lots of mostly odourless gas and upset tummy. Sorry if tmi, but very soft stools and needing to go NOW. Little warning.

Is there anything I can do or take to help this?

I had that in my first pregnancy, it cleared up pretty quickly, so I never took anything for it. Probably best talk to a pharmacist or GP to get advice there! Peppermint tea might help, but doesn't seem to be a consensus on whether it's safe or not!

I had this too. Lasted a few weeks and then got better. I didn't find anything that helped. Hopefully it'll pass soon.

I too have literally just found out I'm pregnant (roughly 4 weeks) and my tummy hasn't been great sad hoping it improves

I had this and I think it was caused by my multi vitamin, a lot of them contain stool softeners. I just took folic acid by itself instead.

I don't take a multivitamin as they contain iron which makes me constipated, maybe I should start?

I'm the same. I'm 12 weeks today and I've had such painful wind since the start. sad I find if I lay with my knees to my chest in the morning to before bed it helps to relieve it a bit wink try walking too.

I feel similar sad I suffer from abdominal migraine and usually take Buscopan but have read it's not safe in pregnancy so am not taking it. Feel very achey and it makes me feel pretty poorly all around.

I had awful loose bowel movements in early pregnancy until about 14 weeks and on and off throughout ( im 39 weeks now). So paranoid it would harm baby but so far healthy mum and baby. Its awful but try keeping yourself hydrated, small bland meals and hopefully itll disappear soon!

I'm currently 26.4 weeks and I've had a bad tummy on and off since the start. Probably only 1/4 of the time - but still a bit miserable (and at times quite...'shocking' and 'unexpected').

One thing I'm very pleased about is that it's an upset tum, rather than constipation (and constipation's good friend, haemorrhoids).

All I can recommend is:

- Eat enough fibre (it could be coincidence but I tend to feel better if I eat Cheerios)
- Drink enough water (a sachet of dioralyte is also a good thing)

Oh and Orange Rennie have been the key to 'releasing' trapped wind.

It's been improved for a couple of days, to the point where I thought it was heading in the other direction. I don't know what's worse really.
