Time between show and labour starting?

Hi all

I went in for a stretch & sweep yesterday only to be told my cervix was too high still for the midwife to reach, which was disappointing and left me thinking I'd be ages yet.

But this morning I've had a show.

So I was wondering how long there was in between you having your show and labour starting?

When I had my first baby (14 years ago!) I had a show, my waters broke and contractions started all pretty quickly.

But as yet there's been nothing since the show about 4 hours ago.
I know it can be a while but am obviously hoping it won't be!

Thanks all :)

IIRC, I had a sweep midday Monday, and then some of the mucus plug (I had no idea there was so much of it!) came out Tuesday day, and I went into labour at midnight

It's the worst. Are you overdue?

No .. Just ridiculously impatient.
My daughter came on her due date so for some stupid reason I'd convinced myself this one would be early.
I'm 39+6 at the moment.

Haha! I did the same thing, based on nothing. I was 40+10 and going nuts. I knew it wasn't possible to be pregnant forever, but somehow it seems like you're going to be

I just want to have this baby at our local hospital, if I have to be induced I can't.

That said .. I am leaping a bit ahead of myself, he's not even actually late yet alone at the point of induction!

Pregnancy can drive you a little crazy hey?!
