I have an appointment tommorow as I'm struggling to get around and look after my children... Youngest being 10.5 months old ... I now 37+4 weeks... Just wondered if anyone else had any success with convincing them to induce early ?

I had sweeps from 38 weeks but they said I could be induced at term. The sweeps worked and Dd arrived a week early.

My friend was induced at 39 weeks due to spd.
She was at the point where she could barely walk - every time she needed to shower, her mum had to go over and help her up the stairs!

I was induced at 40+1 due to spd but could have been earlier if I'd wanted. To be honest I'm not sure induction would be an option I would choose again. Labour was quick but very painful and ds was in distress and pooped in the womb. His heartbeat was highly erratic during the birth and a a consequence I wasn't allowed any painkillers, not even gas and air. It was pretty traumatic.

I was allowed to get to 42 weeks despite having SPD before labour was induced! I hope you don't have to hang on that long.

I am 29 weeks, struggling with SPD, I can barely walk with crutches at my worst and have an induction already planned at 38 weeks

Good I'm glad... Mine only started at the 34 week mark but jeez it kicked in with a vengeance... Hobbling around like a 90 year old is just not helpful with 4 young kids. Il be 38+2 when I hopefully go in although I have been told that SPD is low down on the priority list and could be cancelled til the next day or so which is fine.
