Dates and Cramping

Hi all,

I'm new here although have been hanging around since DP and I started ttc in early April. DP is considerably older than me and we thought it may take us some time to conceive but as it happens it happened straight away and to be honest I'm a bit shocked. I also have no real idea how far along I am as I never got my periods back. However clearblue didnsay 2-3 weeks so I assume that's pretty accurate and therefore would be dated about 4-5 weeks. Would this be correct?

I have been having period pain since coming off the pill so I never suspected being pregnant and bought some ovulation test sticks. All of them came back strongly positive so can here and found a thread that said to take a test. The rest is history. However ther period pain has never really gone away. Last night it was so painful it woke me up. No bleeding. And lasted about 20 minutes. Myself and dp found it quite worrying. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Any more than I already am.

Thank you!!

Some cramping is normal however if it's very frequent and/or painful I'd get checked out

Is the pain in any particular place?

Centre lower abdomen pretty much where the old monthly cramps were that I used to get.
