29 weeks pregnant with my first and my ribs on my left hand side are agony! They're worse when sitting down which is bad as I sit at a desk all day. They feel like they're on fire. I don't know how I can deal with potentially 11 weeks plus of this. Help!!

There are some good pregnancy yoga stretches which help. Really good DVD by Tara Lee.

I had this terribly in my first pregnancy. From memory it started around 31 weeks, was terrible for a week or two and then improved a lot. Hopefully yours won't last until delivery.

I took cocodamol for a really bad headache one night (couldn't find paracetamol) and the baby ended up being really still that evening, was in a total panic til he was kicking away again in the morning. Don't know if it was a coincidence though?

I go to yoga on a Wednesday and felt much better Wednesday evening. I think it is good idea to buy a dvd and do it every day actually.

Oh that gives me some hope that it might only be temporary!

Have you got a pregnancy pillow? I know this may sound strange but when my LO has her feet under my ribs u prob the pillow between my lefts and shift me pelvis and she moves slightly, leaving my ribs foot and pain free :)

Yes, get a v pillow. That helps. Maybe a heat patch if needed. Check with GP too? Especially about codeine.

Suffered terribly my entire 3rd trimester with this in my last pregnancy - he was breech.

This time I've got a head down baby and oh my, the difference it makes!!

I had this but was due to him being transverse breech and his head was pushed against my ribs and for the last 6 weeks it was absolute agony. It felt like my ribs were really badly bruised. Hopefully yours will ease soon.
