33 weeks and absolutely exhausted

that's it really - is it normal to be this shattered?
I'm still working full time (to 36 weeks) and have a 3yo toddler - with commute am out the house 8am til 7pm 5 days a week and although 3yo isnt an 'early' waker its still 7.30 wake up on weekends.
I'm absolutely exhausted.
We get the keys to our house friday and i've got so much admin to sort but just sit at work like a zombie.
DH is being fab but he works too so i cant put much more on him - he's away for the next two weeks as well i'm dreading it as still working for another three weeks!
Any tips for getting more energy??
It sounds stupid but i'm so tired of sitting on my bum all day i want to go for a walk every day or get to the gym for a bit of a blow-out - but the minute i get back from work i'm just pathetically useless and sit pathetically on the sofa!

Oh god I hear you!! Pregnancy second time round for me was sheer exhaustion all the way through let alone with what else you have on top.

What I will say is that you need to put as much onto dh as possible. He works yes, but so do you! And you are also growing a person. He needs to be taking on most of the day to day stuff.

I want to shout (nicely!) At all my first time pregnant friends "cherish this! It wont be like this next time. No daytime naps or lay ins!"

And dh can do the 7.30am wakes too.

I can't offer any help but feel the same. I'm only 26 weeks but knackered. 16 mon DD doesn't sleep well and by 7 I'm done in. I'm lucky to only with three days but that involves over two hours of driving each day. DH is so busy at work that he gets home at 9 so most the stuff is left to me.
I have no advice but just wanted to say I'm with you so don't feel like you're alone. Apparently dealing with a newborn is easier than being pregnant with a toddler but I'm yet to be convinced!! X

oh god i know what you mean - last time we took nice walks on the beach after dinner and i went for leisurely swimns on the weekend - oh and to the cinema lots! And i had proper lay-ins - not "lets leave mummy in bed" but actually you get jumped on every 10 minutes lol!

i loved pregnancy first time round - and to be fair i do ok with it - no vomiting or SPD or anything like that - had check up today and all in 'good health' - but its hard to enjoy it when you are so exhasuted you could cry! Just cant wait to finish work now!

DH is doing all the cooking, ironing, washing and this evening even went back out to the shops to get me olives and something else to eat as i didn't want what he was making! I suspect while he's away i'll be living off beige freezer birdseye delights!

Have a cuppa and cake with me!

I'm 29 weeks pregnant with a 19mo, working only part time and am exhausted!

Looking back on my first pregnancy and that feels like a breeze compared to this one. It'll be over in a few months!

Honestly a baby and a small child is easier that right now. I promise.

Apart from the day three hormone surge when you cry "what the fuck have I done?". Its uphill after that!

ha ha sat giggling as i remember that three day "wtf have i done" moment from last time!
reassuring to know - thank you :-)
I would definitely take poopy nappy and baby and toddler cuddles over meetings and a daily commute ugh!

Amy chance you can start ML earlier? I went til 38 weeks first time round but got signed off at 32 with dc2 as I was in so much pain and he randomly gave me contractions one day which needed steriods etc. I went off on the sick til 36 weeks then ML was enforced from then.

If its all too much for you a doctor will happily sicknote you til 36 weeks.

It's hard, isn't it?! 28w, work 3 days and have a 2yo DD. PGP frustrating the arse out of me - sometimes it feels, quite literally! And I also am blessed with a good sleeper and helpful DP and yet...knackered, lumbering, fat-ankled and full of stomach acid. My hair looks quite nice, though!

Conversely, I am slightly shitting myself about the birth and having two small folk to keep alive, though. High fives all round!
