UTI - 24w and had no symptoms!

During the last week I've been having lower back pain and groin pain. Mainly in bed or rolling over or getting up from sitting down. I put it down to round ligament pain and general pregnancy aches and pains.

Yesterday I started with a headache that got worse and worse and I ended up at the Pregnancy Assessment Unit at hospital. +++ketones and leukocytes in my wee, UTI diagnosed and abs given. Told to go back today if headache doesn't subside.

Just waiting for DH to collect my prescription. Whilst thinking on it, maybe I've had some symptoms, but nothing obvious, no pain when weeing or anything like that.

I've got HG and on various drugs to try and manage it, but still throwing up a lot. So just thought the general lethargy was to do with that but maybe not!

Who else has suffered UTI's in pregnancy? What was your experience?

I did a few weeks earlier than you. I had one night of horrific pain around uterus and oddly in my right hip.

Vomittng is a sign of UTI. Within one day of starting antibiotics I was symptom free and back at work.

When I was pregnant with dd I has a uti every trimester with no symptoms at all.

I used to suffer from chronic UTIs and the first sign of an impending flare up was burning when I weed but I've not had that in either pregnancies. The only sign I got was back/kidney pain.
