I've an intermittent pain on my right hand side today. Is it worth a call to the doctor's do we think?

How many weeks are you? Is it like a stitch? if so it could be round ligament pain which is just all the ligaments and things stretching as your bump grows.

7 weeks. Thank you for that - I'll have a read about it.
It's more like trapped wind, but keeps coming and going.

It's probably trapped wind!

I had persistent one sided pain around that stage. It came and went, but always came back.

I was very anxious about it, thought I was having an ectopic. I made a massive fuss and got an early scan. Turns out the pain was due to an ovarian cyst. Very common apparently. Possible from the site on ovary where the ovum (that became my baby) was released.

Thanks kirjava - could well be!
FATEdestiny that's very reassuring. It seems to have quietened down now, but I'm very anxious about this. No reason to be, but this baby is very much wanted, and I think I feel the pressure's on because I'm older.

7 weeks its probably not round ligament pain, but lots of twinges and pains are not unusual early on, so I really wouldn't worry.

I had this but on lhs - the side I ov'd from. Called early pregnancy unit and they got me in for an early scan to rule out ectopic. Everything was in the right place and I'm now 9+3. They did however see several cysts on the lhs (not surprising as I already knew I had pcos) so reckon it was to do with that. It settled down after a while. I would call to ask them to rule out ectopic if I were you.

I had trapped wind with ds1 at about this stage. I remember bending over double with the pain.

I hope it passes soon.

However, if you have any worries call your epu.
