Hi guys, don't know if anyone may be having the same problem or Wether it's actually in my head, I am pregnant with my 3rd child (about 5 weeks or so) it's mine and hubby's second as first with an ex, I went to docs on Friday to tell them i was pregnant and had to go to epu straight away to have bloods done, then back again today for repeat bloods to check the hcg was rising, had a phone call about 20 minutes ago to say it had doubled and all looked good, have been booked in for a scan on Thursday morning hopefully to see if we can see it, hubby can't attend scan as he's at work and said would send him the pic of the scan and he said don't bother as u won't be able to see any hang, plus he never seems interested if I talk about it, and today at blood test all he did was moan about the heat and how long we had to wait, all of this is really putting a downer on the whole thing, do u think it could be that he is scared ot genuinely bot interested, hope some one can help me.

I think sometimes DPs don't really get interested until much later in the pregnancy when things feel more 'real', certainly was the case for my DH with his third, my first. I needed to persuade him to come to the 12wk scan and did the 20wk on my own. She is nearly 4 weeks now and he is a great dad, aka the 'baby whisperer'.

That's good thank you, he is an amazing dad, just really puts me on edge to think he's not interested, wasn't a planned pregnancy but still I'm happy, just hope he does get more interested as I want him to be part of it

Talk to him and ask OP. This would upset me.

I get that it wasn't a planned pregnancy but you've already had one, surely you've had a discussion about whether or not to have more?

Has he categorically said he doesn't want any more kids?

You need to tell him how you feel because you should be enjoying the pregnancy as much as possible, not getting anxious that he doesn't seem to care.

Sounds like it's not a straightforward pregnancy OP given the scans/bloods so early on, could be be worried about something?

I know he is a little worried, just seems so distant to the whole pregnancy, o have asked him if he's happy about it and he said couldn't be happier, but then quickly changes the subject, wondering if at the 12 week scan when he can see the baby that he might change his tune, will sit down and try and talk to him, just don't want it ending in an argument, thank you everyone
